JOB OBJECTIVES:
- Development of new products /technologies/applications in the field of polymer/resin based building material in-line with the CS business strategy in Asia Pacific and providing necessary technical support and keeping up to date with the state of the art.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Be involved in innovation of polymer based product categories, such as industrial floorings, waterproofings, grouts, adhesives, coatings, sealants, joints, tiling materials and concrete reinforcing products, etc. which are new in BASF EB business Asia Pacific
- Generation of development project plans inclusive time plans based on marketing and technical requirements
- Completing projects/topics in a timely matter with complete record and phase/closure report
- Coordinate with production on scale-up projects to determine appropriate design and product specifications to maximize ease of manufacturing if necessary
- Monthly and Quarterly reporting on progress made timely
- Regular contacts and team working with other departments inclusive marketing and sub-regional TS teams as well as technical teams in global BASF group
- Contact institutes and universities for necessary 3rd party test and cooperation
- Necessary technical support to relevant departments by providing technical know-how transfer, lab test, technical presentation and training, etc.
- Pro active implementation of ISO, health and safety initiatives in the lab and product safety.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of relevant lab equipments, keep workplace (office & laboratory) tidy
- Fulfill other tasks required by team leader or Development Manager

REQUIREMENTS:
- Educational: Degree in Material Engineer or Chemistry or related, prefer Master or Ph.D major in Polymer, Materials or Organic chemistry
- Experience: More than 3 years of relavant technical expertience in epoxy based products development is preferential
- Language: Good English in speaking, listening, reading & wrtting
