Key accountabilities:
Visit existing customers regularly and add value to the business (price, mix, technical support)
Find new customers in all markets/applications
Manage the network of Formula agents in the region and evaluating their performance on agreed objectives within agreed parameters
Establish action plans with other departments, especially customer service, technical, marketing, finance, legal, supply chain and production within Formula and Thai Gypsum
Provide a pro-active technical sales service to customers in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to achieve Formula’s global strategy of adding value
Sales reporting (monthly sales performance report, customer visit reports)
Participate to the budget process
Facilitate and supervise technical trials
Contribute to preparation of claim investigation reports
Devise and implement individual account strategies
In conjunction with Formula Marketing, research and identify new market sectors with potential sales of Formula products. Develop new business by matching Formula's capabilities to the prospects needs
Use general market and specific customer knowledge to initiate and motivate useful product development programmes, with the overall objective of adding value.
Gain intelligence of and regularly report upon price trends, competitor strategies, technology changes and trends in channels of product distribution.
High levels of technical understanding
Experience of and ability to propose technical solutions to the customer
Experienced at conducting negotiations with customers on issues such as pricing
Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels from shop floor to Board
Suitable experience of working within a structured sales environment
Working in any form of supplier customer relationship
Highly self-motivated and driven
Works well under pressure
Flexible and adaptable to change
Good analytical skills
Experience at journey planning and comfortable spending large periods of time away from the organisation
High levels of organisation and planning skills
Working within a similar industry
