Design Engineer for Exhaust gas Aftertreatment Systems
Job Description: Major Job Duties Include:
? Work out of design solution concepts of entire exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (ATS) for different customer projects
? Constructional analysis of the concepts concerning function, packaging and design, modification of selected items
? Arrangement of timetables for the realization of certain design concepts
? Preparation of draft solutions under consideration of functional, material and manufacturing technology and also economic aspects, evaluation and coordination of those solutions with the respective stakeholders
? Functional optimization of the exhaust gas systems by implementing results of CFD, FEA calculations and Acoustic/NVH calculations
? Collaboration and active input in FMEA and PPAP internally and with suppliers and customers
? Transfer of concepts into detailed designs, creating 3D-models and drawings, both for complex assemblies as well as for individual parts
? Creating parts breakdown (Bill of Material -BoM) and technical documentation such as assembly instructions
? Creation and dealing with ECR (engineering change requests)
? Determination of measurements, functional tests and accompany those tests
? Support for the definition of test and validation specifications
? Creation of component specifications for suppliers
? Presentation of the own work results in internal teams and in customer meetings
? Active interaction with the design group in Wuxi concerning design standards, etc.

Job Requirements: Minimum Job Requirements Include:
- Min. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; mechanical engineering preferred.
- 3+ years experience in automotive industry with demonstrated working experience with CAD design and packages; ProE and Catia.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design
- Knowledge in designing tubings and welded connections
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems (DOC/DPF/SCR incl. muffler)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated organization and team building skills
- Knowledge of BoM process preferred
