Currently a foreign owned company is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their operations in Shanghai. This company has been in China for a number of years but in the past year has gone through some expansion including the merge or 3 separate entities. With a positive working culture and a supportive manager, this opportunity will provide the suitable candidate with a great working environment and support.
Responsibilities for this position include but is not limited to:
- Re-designing the procurement process and ensuring the process is smooth
- Re-aligning suppliers and reorganizing current supplier list including raw material and finished goods
- Organise the export of raw material overseas
- Work closely with their HQ office overseas
- Creating new suitable suppliers
- Managing a team
Requirements for this position include but is not limited to:
- Ability to set up and improve processes
- Have strong knowledge of figures and numbers when handling suppliers
- High attention to detail
- Have experience in furniture/home/tools/retail industry
- More than 5 years procurement experience
- Experience with logistics highly recommended but not crucial
- Advanced level of English
