Your Role:

As Senior Project Cost Controller, you need to monitor the financial progress of a project, computes operating fixed and variable costs and compares such costs to budgets. Comparing budget amounts to actual expenses is an accounting function that helps senior management adjust project costs while work is still in progress.

Support project Manager / Project Cost Manager for other cost Management business related to the project requires.

Main Responsiblities:

• Setup MMS monthly cost forecast and tracking system then review with Project Manager and Project Control Manager
• Review Control Budget with Project Controls Manager and Project Manager;
• Ensure the Control Budget is correctly forecasted. Challenge management if the control budget and SOW not match.
• Review the proposal, contract then perform risk analysis, setting up budget, and contingency rate etc. After alignment, Cost Controller is responsible to set up cost baseline for the project. (Cash flow, Budget etc.)
• Set up the initial cost report and input the control budget/profit/loss in SAP System.
• Set up the cash flow chart based on the payment term in the contract, schedule and establish invoice plan at the same time.
• Update monthly Cash report consolidation report
• Update monthly Cash Flow consolidation report
• Update consolidate Project Cost Report
• Update consolidate Project Cash Flow Report
• Input all cost data into SAP
• Lead to ensure PO/CO/VO log are up to date and accurate
• Monitor and track Manpower actual cost/forecast from the original baseline
• Track and monitor Change Order activities for the project
• Review cost report with Project Control Manager and Project Manager if requested
• Responsible for accuracy of Cost Report, Cash Flow Analysis, GP%
• Report to management on project issues, such as GP% drop, scope of works,
• contract issues, MMS are not updated, Change Order has not been submitted etc.
• Work closely with Scheduler on actual project progress to ensure Cash-Flow are accurately forecast
• Support on-site cost activities if necessary requested by Project Control Manager or Project Manager and be on-site if is required.
• Assist Project Manager on Monthly Report (Cost Section)

Qualification & requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineer or Project Management
• Over 10 years relevant experience in Project cost Management
• Experiences with Pharmaceutical/chemical /petrochemical projects will be a big advantage
• Good command of English in Oral and Written
• Highly working spirits and Excellent Teamwork
