The company

A world-class EPCM Company has wide range of Project lines and strategic plans of development in China, Mainly focusing on Commercial events.

The Role

As a cost manager, you need to perform as a key member within the cost and commercial team, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery. And you need to ensure that client objectives are met through the delivery of an effective cost and commercial management service.

Main duties / responsibilities

• Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, putting the preliminaries together, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling the contractual documents
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager
• Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
• Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
• Inputting into value engineering
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Interfacing with the client, stakeholders and other consultants, at all project stages
• Assisting in the production of bid documentation and attending bid interview
• Identifying ways in which cost management procedures, templates and products can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager
• Internal management and make process improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Senior QS from Consulting company is welcomed
• Over 8 years with quantity survey, cost estimating and cost control.
• Project experiences in commercial, R&D events will be a big advantage
• Good teamwork player and strong command in English
