Job Output
Under the supervision of ABP China Technology Manager or a Lead Project Engineer, this position is responsible for leading electrical engineering services of significant scope related to manufacturing of mineral fiber ceiling products in the Asia region. Services include specification, vendor selection, design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, programming and start-up support. Project requirements and applicable national and international standards and codes will be the basis for engineering, procurement and construction executed by subcontractors. Monitor the project implementation and provide necessary correction to ensure the project meets all requirements on safety/quality/schedule/cost. Provide services based in China for ABPT Global projects as required.

Key Process (Ownership/Participation):
？ Implement and monitor electrical engineering projects of significant scope to meet completion criteria related to safety, budget, schedule and performance.
？ Be responsible for personal safety and foster the safety of others on project team. Provide safety leadership to project subcontractors in the form of setting expectations, training personnel, auditing safety performance and correcting issues. Include safety compliance and good housekeeping in all project efforts.
？ Technical services will include PLC and control devices, power distribution, and motor controls for both civil construction and process equipment systems at the department level
？ Provide direction on design of electrical components; consult with project team leaders, production and maintenance to understand process requirement then translate into fully functional solutions which integrate with all related systems.
？ Monitor installation and commissioning of assigned projects; troubleshoot and initiate corrective actions to eliminate issues and risks to project success. Train operators and craftsmen on new equipment and procedures as part of commissioning.
？ Apply Lean principles to problem solutions. Understand and use fundamentals to eliminate waste including 5S, reliability maintenance, SMED and standard work. Participate in Kaizen efforts of project or facility.
？ Coordinate projects involving outside engineering and construction resources.
？ Consult with Procurement and Finance to select qualified suppliers, develop estimates, purchase equipment and parts, follow-up on delivery and monitor payment information.
？ Coordinate efforts with mechanical and civil engineering counterparts; integrate assignments into larger scope work packages.
？ Provide documentation so that plant equipment technical filing system is complete related to engineering projects and physical assets including programs, drawings, technical information, spare parts and training or maintenance manuals

Education & Work Experience:
？ Bachelor’s degree of a poly-technical university or above, major in Electrical/Automation Engineering etc
？ Minimum 4-7 years working experience as an electrical engineer, multinational company experience will be a plus
？ Proven successful project experience of significant scope
？ Excellent computer and programming skills
？ Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC&VFD applications and programming, Wonderware and Panelview operator interface programming, Data Historian experience.
？ Familiar with Allen Bradley Servo-driven system. Experience with power distribution, motor control, and variable frequency drives.
？ Knowledge of industrial electrical standards and codes
？ Demonstrated use of basics of project management

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
？ PMP certificate training
？ AutoCAD User
？ Able to use MS Office family of software
？ Project Management basics are a plus
？ Proficient English language skills including reading, writing and speaking

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
？ Frequent travel among Yangtze delta Company locations – ACIC, ABPS and ABPW
？ Occasional travel for vendor visits or training
？ Occasional out of the ordinary work hours including during holidays
？ Work environment that may be dusty, wet and noisy. High or low ambient temperatures at times.
？ Some physical lifting and odd work positions may be encountered during installations.
