Manager, Web Design and Front End Programming Team, EF English First

Hiring Manager: Paul Santacreu Paul.santacreu@ef.com. Based in Shanghai.

We are looking for a creative, experienced design team manager to head up our Design team which is part of the Global Online Sales & Marketing Team based in Shanghai. This position will have 4 reports. Two web designers and 2 Front end programmers, and is an integral part of the Global Online Sales & Marketing Management Team. This team supports EF in China, Indonesia and Russia.

As part of a global marketing team you will be interested in marketing concepts such as brand identity, promotional offers (hooks) and lead generation.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project owners & programmers to create polished, beautiful and branded visual solutions to improve our global websites.
• Design & create attractive landing pages.
• Support the creation of Newsletters & eDM, that our customers love to receive.
• Support the delivery of creative, lively, interactive animated banner ads.
• Lead a team of more junior designers, help support and grow them keeping them motivated and always trying to achieve higher standards.

Requirements:

• Portfolio of work that includes examples showing off your diversified experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of web design and front end programming.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, dreamweaver and any Adobe Web experience manager experience would be an advantage.
• Extensive experience using HTML 4,5 CSS 3, JavaScript, and Ajax..
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind your design decisions; Good at English both in speaking and writing. You will be working in a multinational global team.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to be an inspirational team leader.

Requirements here will be considered advantages

• Previous work in a marketing agency or marketing teams would be an advantage.
• Experience in marketing concepts such as brand identity, promotional offers and lead generation is also an big advantage
• Any knowledge of Content Management Systems could be useful.
