TESOL Trainer/ Senior Foreign Teacher

Job Responsibilities

A senior teacher employed by Strong International shall carry out professional duties as circumstances require. These include, but are not limited to;

· Providing input sessions on a variety of teaching areas.

· Providing on-going guidance and support for trainees through lesson planning, observed classes and feedback.

· Helping with the on-going running and development of the TESOL training course.

· Promoting the general progress and well-being of students and trainees, whilst maintaining a professional manner and confidentiality of information at all times.

· Attending and contributing to CPD for current foreign teachers.

· Working with current staff to provide a professional and enjoyable atmosphere for students and trainees attending courses.

Job requirements:

· Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching a variety of ELT levels.

· Have a solid knowledge of ELT methodology and terminology.

· Hold a relevant Trinity or Cambridge higher teaching certificate (Dip TESOL / DELTA / Masters in TESOL etc.).

· Hold the minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Preferably in an education related area).

· Be passionate about the profession and have a willingness to “go beyond the call of duty” to ensure trainees achieve their goals.

· Be a native English Speaker or have native English competency.

Compensation

· Full time 40 hours a week

· RMB16,000 – 18,000 (depending on qualifications and experience).

Background

Zhejiang Strong International Training College was established in 2003, being a professional education institution approved by Education Department of Zhejiang Province Government, and is the only training college with its own campus in the Yangtze River Delta. The school is located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, known as the "Silicon Valley of Hangzhou". It covers 33000 square meters of land, and has more than 30 multi-media equipped classrooms as well as 100 "3-star" standard student dorms. The school has a team of Chinese and foreign teachers with more than 10 years’ experience. We offer English Training, International Foundation Year, International Summer/Winter Camp, Chinese Language Summer Camp, etc. IELTS, TOEFL, SAT and SSAT are taught by both Chinese and foreign teachers and have produced many high-scoring students in these examinations. The IFY (International Foundation Year) is run under the cooperation of our school and NCC (National Computing Center) in Britain. The International Summer/Winter Camp is supported by our school and its partners in Britain, USA, Australia, etc. In these Camps, Chinese students are taken to foreign countries to experience diverse cultures and customs, while foreign students are received in China to study or travel. These camps become the base platform for communication between our students.
