Sales and Tech Service functions
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/主要职责 ( include EHSS responsibilities)
Primary responsibilities
? Develop and implement BT and market segment strategies and tactics in alignment with global strategies
? Lead sales, technical service and marketing efforts in the region
? Optimize the marketing mix
? Prioritize activities and projects
? Identify, allocate, coordinate and focus resources
? Target setting and performance review for subordinates in sales and technical service
? Manage costs for the BT
? Identify, analyze and report markets, developments / applications and price structures
? Analyze and report competitors activities and strategies
? Analyze product portfolio in view of usability, competitiveness and completeness and implement corrections in the region
? Team development, staff planning, development and training in close alignment with global BT and VP GC
? Staff recruitment in close alignment with global BT and VP GC
? Keep supply chain management / planning informed of market efforts
Specific tasks
? Implement regional BP1, develop regional BP4
? Responsible for goal setting, business plan and implementation of goals, sales targets, pricing and product quality according to customer specification.
? Budgeting / planning / forecasting of sales targets
? Decide, implement, control and monitor pricing and price structure of customers and distributors in alignment with local and global strategies
? Negotiate sales contracts with key customers
? Coordinate cross-functional activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
? Technical and commercial customer contacts on all relevant levels
? Identify new business opportunities and customers
? Develop customer action plans
? Monitors credit notes, payment terms and receivables
? Decide claims (validity)
? Keep contact with key decision leaders in industry
? Manage distributor activities in cooperation with the DM management
? Monthly reporting on all key market activities and KPI
Other duties
? Participate and drive Company’s interests in regional trade associations
? Recommendation and participation of trade shows in the region
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION/必备条件(education, language, expertise, functional competencies)
? More than 5 years experience in chemical, coatings or related industry with focus on Sales & Marketing
? Leadership ability to propose local solutions when needed and to get things done locally once aligned with Global Business strategy
? University degree in business and/or science; Master or higher preferred
? Experience in working with and lobbying to government and regulatory institutions related to the targeted industry
? Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office, SAP)
? Fluent in English, spoken and written
? Excellent communication and conflict management skills (internal and external).
? Experience in a variety of cultures and geographies
? Team-oriented with strong leadership ability
? Target oriented and persistent (never give up)
? Good customer orientation and teamwork attitude
? 2+ years experience in developing new markets, applications and customers

WHY DOES THE JOB EXIST?
To improve performance of the Division Silicones based on the principles of customer focus, stakeholder value, process management and regulatory compliance. This shall be achieved by continuous improvement and data-driven management and can use tools such as project management, process management, benchmarking, Six Sigma statistical tools.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/主要职责 (including EHSS responsibilities)
Primary responsibilities
? Improve commercial and business process excellence of the Silicones organization
? Commercial excellence:
1. lead the “portfolio shift” project, implement it in regular opportunity mgmt. and opportunity measurement, track the success
2. personally lead key projects bringing new solutions to the market
3. explore new channels to the market and further develop Company’s regional reach (lead project “new channels and regions”)
4. Scout technology developments which improve business and support the achievement of Division S objectives
? Business process excellence:
1. lead “GC re-engineering of business processes” project as part of the global “simplification” project
2. the major interface in process alignment with other departments
3. lead “competency transfer” project and set up proper information and know-how preservation infrastructure to assures sustainable competency improvement of Silicones GC organization
4. Work with managers and staff to identify problems, review procedures, improve efficiency and quality of service, and identify appropriate monitoring mechanisms.
? Develop and maintain a performance management framework that supports the achievement of performance targets through agreed KPI’s
? Ensure all performance criteria is SMART (specific, meaningful, attainable, relevant, timely/trackable) and reflective of positive outcomes on the customer as the main driver.
? Assist the VP Silicones GC in the development of the divisional strategy, plan and for major investment projects
? Seek, implement and optimize the use of appropriate technical and business excellence tools
? Develop continuous improvement strategies to optimize business performance. Oversee the delivery of all improvement plan items.
Specific tasks
? Manage projects
? Support development and implementation of regional plans (BP1 and BP5)
? Coordinate cross-functional activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
? Representative in the GC Silicones Meeting

? Experience in leading teams in complex situations
? Leadership ability to propose local solutions when needed and to get things done locally

? Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office, SAP)
? Fluent in English, spoken and written
? Excellent communication and conflict management skills (internal and external).
? Experience in a variety of cultures and geographies
? Team-oriented with strong leadership ability (esp. non-administrative leadership)
? Target oriented and persistent (never give up)
? Good customer orientation and teamwork attitude
