Objective / Purpose of the Department

To introduce and enforce "best in class" security standards so as to support and enhance the profitability of TNT Express.

Objective / Purpose of the Job (describe clearly the level of responsibility and expected result)

Ensure country’s compliance with aviation security procedures that meet International/EU and agreed TNT Express standards and fully comply with all national aviation security regulations.

Key Activities / Accountabilities

? Maintain both formal and informal contacts with the relevant national regulatory authorities and aviation associations, providing coherent and logical solutions to issues raised in collaboration with Global Aviation Security Manager
? Maintain the legal and operational ability of TNT Express in the country to operate as a recognized secured organisation from an Aviation Security point of view, supplying airlines operating on behalf of TNT with cargo designated as ‘secure’.
? Undertake aviation security audits and advise the Country Management and the Global Aviation Security Manager of any non-compliance issues.
? At national level, inspect all company documentation and procedures that impinge on the security and safety of the TNT Express aviation network.
? Represent the BU with any relevant national regulatory or advisory authorities in a decision making capacity having the ability to safeguard or enhance the operational and fiscal position of TNT Express within the marketplace.
? Develop and implement the relevant aviation security programme at national level.
? Advise on and recommend corrective actions that resolve non-compliance issues with the aviation security program.
? Develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in security duties as required within the aviation security programme.
? Ensure BU’s compliance with the TNT Express aviation security requirements at all regulated sites in the country.
? Recommend any necessary changes to equipment or operational processes in order to ensure full compliance with the applicable aviation security requirements.
? Act as the point of contact with National Authorities and Law Enforcement agencies in case of Aviation Security incidents and changes in threat levels etc. and liaise with the Global Aviation Security Manager.
? Enforce TNT Express policies that relate to air cargo security.
? Manage responses to any national regulatory inspectorate issues raised after TNT Express site audits and inspections.
? Advise TNT Express National Management, Global Aviation Security Manager and concerned parties within the company of changes in national or regional aviation security regulations.
? Develop, enforce and manage the company’s Aviation Security Program and Procedures in compliance with all applicable policies and requirements.
? Identify, assess and help mitigating all aviation security risks against the company personnel, assets and business
? Control and enforce compliance with group integrity policies.

Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates

? University/graduate or higher vocational level
? Or proven work experience (see below)
Preferred Experience and Knowledge (number of years, type of experience)

? Experienced in security environment
? Sound understanding of the network and operation
? Sound understanding of aviation security
? Memberships and involvements with aviation bodies
? Commensurate with the role
? Aviation qualifications.
