Sr. Product Manager/Product Manager– Bathing &Shower door

BASIC FUNCTIONS
? Be responsibility for complete management of the assigned products from creation of new products through their removal from the product line. That is the assigned products line business. Decisions made on products produced, manufacturing capacities, marketing strategies, outside purchases, and the need for engineering consultants will be largely influenced by the data and analysis generated by and recommendations made by the Product Manager.
? Be responsible for planning and directing the company's short and long-range marketing programs. Develop plans and programs, including forecasts for the PRC market, wholesale marketing programs, pricing and product line development. He/she is to coordinate and work closely with the Plant to ensure all product issues are well taken care of. He/she is also to work with all Company China departments including sales, advertising and publications, promotions, showrooms, technical support, accounting, and customer service team. Direct liaison with relevant US headquarters departments is also necessary. Operate as the recognized central authority on all marketing matters related to assigned products. Responsible for development and implementation of enduring objectives related to product line development with management objectives both long-and short-term and develop strategies necessary to achieve objectives over specific time spans.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
? Develop long-term marketing plans for assigned product lines. Incorporate sales, advertising, research and promotional efforts required to meet current and projected market objectives.
? Prepare annual marketing plans for assigned products including market strategy, incentive promotions, sales forecast, projected market penetration, and budget estimates.
? Develop short-term product marketing programs to obtain business in line with product sales forecasts and profit objectives.
? Manage product prices (including those of spare parts), terms of sale and discounts recognizing out objectives and our competition.
? Provide Market Research with market demand projections to guide the preparation of forecasts. Work with the Plants to insure needed product supply.
? Manage the "Release for Shipment" process of new products.
? Provide Advertising & Publications Manager and Trade Marketing Manager with information to guide production of product literature and promotional activities.
? Develop and present sales training programs for company sales representatives and distributor personnel seminars.
? Develop a personal expertise on assigned product markets including a complete intelligence file on competitors' pricing, field activity, customer service channels of market distribution and end-user preferences. Become familiar with product materials, manufacturing, packaging, transportation and promotions.
? Develop plans for introducing and discontinuing products in line with marketing groups’ long-range market objectives.
? Coordinate the development of effective packaging, installation instructions, sales displays, trade show displays, and publicity programs.
? Provide Product Engineering with market preference and trends on products considered for development or redesign.
? Maintain high level of communications with branch personnel.
? Relate and recommend changes in established market distribution and strategy as necessitated by market and consumer preferences.
? Coordinate the interpretation of plumbing codes and distribution of this information to the field sales organization.
? Seek legal advice from corporate counsel to insure propriety of pricing mechanism, trademarks, product labeling, policies and contractual agreements.

Internal/External Business Relationships

? Work closely with the plant to ensure timely launch and smooth delivery of products.
? Discuss new products, materials and purchases products with sales and technical representatives from outside Company co.
? Contact customers to obtain market information on product sales and market trends, Includes distributors, builders, consumers, architects, engineers, plumbing contractors, O.E.M. users and retail outlets.
? Attend trade shows, exhibits, seminars and marketing conferences

Education and Experience Requirements

? At least Bachelor’s degree or above
? 10+ years of relevant product management experience
? Preferred industry: electric appliance, tool, faucet
? Resourceful
? Good cross-functional experience
? Passionate and patient
? Strong commercial sense and analytical skill
? Good sense of urgency
? Acknowledge a satisfactory written & spoken English level
