Job DescriptionEaton Corporation has an opening of Global Sourcing manager – Hydraulic located in Shanghai office.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position provides leadership to the global sourcing organization for Hydraulic to identify the best suppliers in NA countries covering China, Korea, Taiwan etc to support its global sourcing strategy for business growth. The scope of the role will include identifying suppliers, assessment, APQP, price negotiation, supplier management in NA countries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A Lead the GS organization for Hyd to drive more GS sourcing from the region to EMEA/US
B Identify competitive supplier base in NA countries to support business global sourcing strategy for sustainable growth
C Assesses quality and manufacturing capabilities of potential sources
D Lead APQP/PPAP activities with new suppliers
E Ensures potential suppliers and/or production suppliers have the necessary quality systems and capabilities to deliver a qualified product to the divisions in US and EMEA
F Understands the market trend on key sourcing commodities and provides input into global sourcing/category strategy
G Acts as a liaison between the division (buyer) and supplier to improve suppliers' performance
H Builds strong organization through internal capability development and external hiring
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
A. Engineering degree required (Mechanical Preferred )
B. Minimum of 7-10 years of work experience in an SCM organization as a leadership role
C. Proven capability in building strong Sourcing organization within the Manufacturing sector
D. Rich experiencing in sourcing Key commodities are: stamping, machining and casting
E. Strong international work experience in Sourcing/Supply Chain with a multinational company in Automotive, Fluid Power.
F. Experience in setting up an “Export Oriented” Sourcing organization in China for a Multi-National company is a plus
G. Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams in a matrix organization
