职位描述
Position/Title:Mining Manager (Underground Mining Operation) -China
Reporting Line:Head of Operations Raw Materials China
Dotted-line to:Regional Mining Manager RAP
Direct Reports:Not known; depending on mining operation
Dotted Line Reports:Not known; depending on mining operation
Objectives of the job:
- Guarantee a professional and sustainable mining operation. Ensure safe operations and adopt best operating practices in accordance with regulatory standards
- Guarantee raw material supply (marble) in terms of quantity & quality to Company plants in China.
- Participate in the design of mining concepts for Company's mining concession(s).
- Establish good relations with the authorities (Bureau of Land & Resources, State Bureau of Work Safety, other local authorities, etc.) and local villagers.
- Management of the licenses and certificates of all the assigned mine(s).
- QSHE compliance of mines
- Maintain consistent quality of raw material
- Cost efficient mining operation - optimized mining costs on a per ton basis
- Supervise sub-contractors to ensure a sustainable mining operation.
Performance Measurement / Administrative:Functional:
- Raw material quality and quantity to meet the demands of Company's plants.
- QSHE compliance.
- Extraction of ore with highest possible ore recovery rate ? to contain reserves.
- Production/maintenance costs monitoring (unit mining cost control)
- Timely implementation of development plan for mining.
- Mining design and planning docs to be always submitted to the authorities on time.
- Training of local staff and workers on mechanized mining and ground control.
- Identify training needs and suggest training programs for assigned mining staff.
- Guarantee the raw material supply to the plants (quantity and quality)
- Participate in the design of mine development / mine production in cooperation with colleagues and the Regional Mining Manager RAP or outside mining design companies.
- Apply the mining development plan and follow up its progress, taking into account budget, security, environment and quality aspects
- Establish good contacts with the local and central authorities regarding the mining rights (present operation and extension targets) & local villagers.
- Control and supervise the mining contractors
- Apply the guidelines for drilling and blasting (to be defined by Regional Mining Manager RAP) for highest safety; control powder factor!
- Carry out any tasks related to the advice of the Regional Mining Manager RAP.
- Assume responsibility for QSHE compliance (mandatory & Company Corporate policies), ensuring that measures are consistent with Company policies.
- Manage with open communication and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Proper and timely preparation of documents for related licenses and certificates.
- Participate in training programs prepared by Company or relevant authorities with regard to mining, QSHE or any others related to the job.
- Others subjects related to the raw material management.
- Supervise ground control; decide on rock bolting/shotcreting where necessary.

Education / experiences /skills / competencies required
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Mining Engineering
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in mining (underground or tunnelling)
- Fluent knowledge in English (spoken / written); Chinese (Mandarin)
- Blasting Certificate & Mine Safety Management Certificate
- Team player, good organiser & good communicator
- A high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Profound knowledge of modern, mechanized mining & ability of mining design and mine planning.
- Driving license
Special requirements (such as readiness to travel etc.)
- Travel occasionally to different mine sites in China and overseas.
