Department: Operation
Location: Shanghai, China
Reporting: Reporting directly to Shanghai Operations Manager
SUMMARY: Under general direction, the Quality Engineer will be required to in charge all the quality systems, issues, inspection, calibration, and etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
？ Quality Inspections
？ Provide inspection support to manufacturing. This will include duties as following: Incoming materials inspection; In-process quality inspections using established procedures (or need to develop); Testing at Check-out benches; Final Product Inspection including ID and packaging.
？ Troubleshoot Production areas, making recommendations and working together with Production to identify solutions and assisting with implementation of corrective actions.
？ Communicate Quality Issues and provide appropriate reports to the direct supervisor.
？ Provide training to workers.
？ Resolution of Quality Issues
？ Work with purchasing and SQE to resolve supplier quality issues. Coordinate the resolution of discrepant or defective parts. Assist in corrective action implementation.
？ Help investigate and respond to customer complaints regarding product quality. Coordinate an inspection analysis for returned goods and provide a report of findings.
？ Work with vendors to resolve Quality Issues for parts used for assembly. Provide disposition and segregation of rejected materials and/or products.
？ Participate in Process Quality Improvement Teams
？ Maintain and Improve Quality Systems
？ Maintain and draft related quality procedures
？ Incoming Quality Inspection Database
？ Non-conformity Dispose
？ RGA database
？ Calibration & Testing
？ Maintain calibration records for gauges and tools
？ Maintain proper operation of checkout stands at company
？ Other tasked assigned by high-level supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
？ Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
？ Ability to manage inspectors
？ Engineering Degree
？ Good English/Chinese communication skills (verbal and written)
？ Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
？ Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance including: General knowledge of ISO quality processes; Statistical sampling and inspection; Proficient use of inspection instruments; Reading and interpretation of Engineering Prints and Specs
？ Basic computer skills including MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel.
？ Familiar with Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement Process
？ Good communication skills for interaction with cross-function within and outside of the company. Good interpersonal skills and leadership.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
？ Educated to Bachelor of Science or Technology
？ Four-Six years of experience in relevant experience.
？ Mechanical or/and Electrical assembly experience.
？ Willing to learn new knowledge and be able to work under pressure.
