Currently, The PAC Group seeks candidates with Powertrain Process Engineer with Automotive working experience. Office Location is Shanghai and project location is various places in China.
Position Summary:
-To develop and detail processes to produce machined components and assemblies for engine such as cylinder block, head, cam shaft and crank shaft, etc.
-To recommend improvements in manufacturing methods in order to reduce errors and increase efficiencies to meet quality and cost objectives
-To assist Sr. Engineers with prototype and sample submissions
-To participate in continuous improvement meetings with a focus on process, cycle time and tooling improvements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other related duties may be assigned):
-Plan, Organize and Control
-Specify special tools and fixtures where required
-Estimate cycle times and cost for each operation in the process
-Set production targets/goals
-Maintain control of customer drawings and revisions
-Ensure that the process is capable of producing parts to specifications
-Modify the process and update all relevant documentation when required
-Keep records, transmit information to other departments
Background and Qualifications:
-University/College education in automobile / mechanical engineering or manufacturing or equivalence
-Major OEMs in Automobile Industry in China with experience 5 to 10 years
-Basic knowledge of materials, tooling, fixture and machining shop experience
-Some proficiency with personal computers with MS office and AutoCAD
-Able to communicate requirements clearly in written and drawing formats;
-English communication with verbal and writing are preferred
