Quality Engineer # Furniture and Homeware

Passionate and technical strong
As a Quality Engineer your main focus will be to ensure the right construction, material, surface treatment and packaging by improving, implementing and interpreting quality assurance standards and procedures at suppliers and you will be a strong link between the sourcing team and quality control team in Shanghai and the product team in Denmark. Your working place will primarily be in Hangzhou area.

    

Your main tasks include:  

• Follow Trade Point's quality assurance policies and procedures
• Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards on the assigned suppliers
• Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
• Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
• Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions at suppliers to ensure continuous improvement of Trade Point quality standards
• In compliance with Trade Point's and Customer′s specific requirements, ensure sample procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
• Ensure reference samples and 0-production samples are signed and documented with relevant sample report, both for future reference and use of Quality Controller's during inspection
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues with suppliers to make adjustments and ensure a better quality of items
• Document supplier audits and other quality assurance activities when required
• Help to identify areas for improvement in the quality system of the suppliers
• Evaluate inspection and audit findings at suppliers. Implement appropriate corrective actions. Find root cause and take corrective measures
• Monitor risk with production of items and discuss improvements and follow up by suppliers and TP assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

     

Detail oriented and analytical profile

You have minimum 3 years of working experience within Quality Assurance and preferably within furniture and various types of materials.

      

For the position we furthermore expect you to

• Have a great technical understanding and strong knowledge of production, construction and material
• Have good communication skills and able to turn complexity into simplicity. Average level in verbal and written English
• Be skilled of data handling (collect, manage and analyse), and capable of planning and organizing
• Be capable of problem solving with suppliers and colleagues in Trade Point Shanghai and Trade Point Denmark
• Execute a sound judgement and have a proactive approach
• Demonstrate decision-making skills and be customer service oriente
• Thrive in and be effective in the interaction with stakeholders (e.g. suppliers; Trade Point Shanghai and Trade Point Denmark; customers if approached directly during visits)
• Contribute to the teamspirit
• Be a skilled user of MS Office package and MS Dynamic 365
