Manager, Web Design and Front End Programming Team, EF English First

We are looking for a creative, experienced design team manager to head up our Design team which is part of our Global Online Sales & Marketing Team based in Shanghai. This position will have 3 to 4 reports. Two web designers and 2 Front end programmers, and is an integral part of the Global Online Sales & Marketing Management Team. This team supports EF in China, Indonesia and Russia.

As part of a global marketing team you will be interested in marketing concepts such as brand identity, promotional offers (hooks) and lead generation.

Responsibilities:

• Work close with project owners & programmers to creating polished, beautiful and branded visual solution to improve our global websites and campaigns.
• Lead a team to design & create attractive lead generation landing pages.
• Lead a team creating Newsletter & eDM, responsible for sending as well.
• Understanding of advertising and how to create great hooks. Making creative, lively, animated banner ads.
• Lead a team of more junior designers help support and grow them.

Requirements:

• Portfolio of work that includes examples of your past work.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of web design and front end programming.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver.
• Extensive experience using HTML 4,5 CSS 3, JavaScript, and Actionscript.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind your design decisions; Good at English both in speaking and writing. You will be working in a multinational global team.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Able to be an inspirational team leader.

Requirements here will be considered advantages

• Previous work in a marketing agency or marketing teams would be an advantage.
• Interested in marketing concepts such as brand identity, promotional offers and lead generation is essential
• Having experience of email marketing campaigns would be an advantage.
