5+ years of experience engineering mechanical or electro-mechanical based products for commercial markets.
CAD software for Mechanical design work (SolidWorks)
Fundamental knowledge of various manufacturing techniques for stainless steel and plastic parts (e.g.; injection molding, deep drawing, machining, casting)
Advanced understanding and use of engineering tools such as DFMEAs, statistical engineering techniques, Design of Experiments, failure analysis, GD&T, DFMA, product capability analysis
Knowledge of regulatory certifications, such as Nema4x, shock and vibration tests, and shipping tests.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to work with dispersed, worldwide engineering centers.
Ability to express technical matters adequately both orally and in writing.
Ability to travel worldwide (<20%)
Proficient in English & Mandarin -- written and oral.

1.Interpret customer specifications and/or marketing requirements to develop comprehensive product specifications.
2.Develop mechanical systems, plastic and stainless steel parts/assemblies to meet performance, quality and cost targets.
3.Comprehensive documentation responsibility including, but not limited to, generating detailed engineering drawings, Bill of Materials management in ERP, test reports, and product validation plans.
4.Design and execute test planning; use a scientific problem solving method to resolve issues.
5.Participate in troubleshooting, Failure Analysis, Root Cause, and Corrective Action processes as required.
6.Design, test and record to minimize product liability risk.
7.Introduce innovative solutions to customers' key application issues.
8.Perform certification & compliance testing
9.Work with cross-functional departments in the efforts of product realization.
10.Collaborate and develop relationships with local and remote internal engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing resources.
11.Support DBS initiatives, especially margin improvement VAVE projects.
