Reporting Relationships
The Manager, Human Resources will report to Director of Retail HR, located in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
Excellence is what drives our team. We are looking for a stellar Mgr, Human Resources to join our team. This position will partner with the Coach China Team to provide strategic HR leadership.
- Develop and implement HR programs & solutions required to support business & internal customer needs
- Partner with the leadership in strategic staffing, planning and decision making around people issues
- Ensure HR requirements are identified, addressed, and aligned to the overall Coach China business objectives
- Provide guidance on Employee Relations and compliance issues
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals to support the needs of the business in a growing environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partner Support & Relationships
- Understand the business practices, policies, roles and responsibilities, and people to ensure the HR team is connected and informed
- Partner closely with Senior Leadership Team to ensure HR goals and objectives are clear and consistent with business objectives; drive the creation and execution of established HR objectives each year with clear standards for timely and high quality deliverables
- Foster relationships built on respect and trust to ensure HR has a respected voice
- Manage corporate initiatives (e.g. employee survey) and the analysis of key metrics (e.g. turnover); partner with management to analyze the data and develop strategies as appropriate
- Organizational Design
- Provide organizational design support and guidance; partner with leaders to assess organizational strengths and opportunities and develop appropriate action plans
- Drive the annual Coach Talent Planning Process for both executive and leadership levels including succession plans, development plans and potential career paths for key positions and high potential employees
- Employee Relations
- Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to create a motivating, supportive and productive work environment for all levels
- Partner with leadership and the HR team to develop strategy to resolve employee relation issues
- Provide coaching and counseling to all levels of management to ensure ER cases are handled appropriate and with attention to compliance; Collaborate with Legal Counsel and to address sensitive issues
- Maintain positive employee relations environment through Coach’s Open Door Policy
- Performance Management
- Lead the annual performance management and development planning process
- Partner with senior leaders to execute salary increase process on time and on budget; partner to outline and quantify requests for additional funding as required
- Partner with the Compensation Team to ensure all deliverables are on time and in compliance with corporate standards
- Training and Development
- Develop annual training and development strategy in partnership with senior management
- Partner with L&D (Corporate) to conduct annual needs assessment and ensure appropriate programs are developed and delivered
- Partner to research and secure outside consulting and coaching services to optimize individual and team performance as required
- Recruitment
- Support recruitment for all senior level positions
- Partner with TA team for all staff and seasonal hiring
- Network within the community and industry; conduct exploratory interviews to develop candidate pipeline
- Special Projects
- Participate in and/or lead cross-functional projects and initiatives with facility wide impact (e.g. community outreach programs, recognition programs)
- Participate in and/or lead cross-functional HR projects
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with 6-8 years experience in Human Resources field with emphasis in two or more of the following: recruitment, employee relations, coaching/counseling, performance management
- Proven experience delivering client focused HR solutions to business problems
- Understanding of Benefits, compensation, compliance and training
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence
- Strong project management and facilitation skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into workable solutions
- Creative problem solving with strong business acumen
- This position will require a high level of problem solving skills and autonomy. Issues will range from medium to high degrees of complexity.
