1.1 Assure the ME staff is trained in the Quotation process to administrate quoting activities that yield complete, accurate, timely, “world-class”quotes.

1.2 Participate in customer meetings and audits. Effectively present Jabil ME processes, initiatives, and strengths to current and potential customers.

1.3 Direct and execute NPI activity for assigned customer

2 Support the development and implementation of ME strategies and systems.

2.1 Support customers’ business needs using Jabil’s standard processes where possible and customized solutions where necessary. Influence customers in order to leverage Jabil’s Best-in-Class solutions.

3 Optimize the overall process and ensure that all metrics are measured for improvement.

3.1 Indoctrinate the importance of having optimized processes. Ensure that Manufacturing Engineers participate in determining loading to create a realistic commitment that best supports customer needs. Maintain a disciplined process to ensure processes, procedures, machines programs, visual, tooling, etc. are available to support production activities per the schedule. Disconnects between ME readiness and production requirements such as missing visuals, machine programs, tooling and fixtures or ECN implementation are continuously monitored and eliminated.

3.2 Complete all process capability studies and develop SPC control plans as required 9.3.3 Execute ME functions according to the business objectives and policies & procedures. Continuously improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the functions. Drive down overall cost of manufacturing including cycle rates, head counts, administration expenses, material scrap and poor test yields due to manufacturing related defects.

4 Manufacturing Cost Management

4.1 Define the most efficient processes and tools which support Jabil’s business

4.2 Co-ordinate plant input to tool set requirements

4.3 Complete and communicate accurate DFM analysis information on all new customer products. Train ME level 2 engineers, as a minimum, on the DFM process and tools.

5 Global Communication

5.1 Maintain a global prospective when making process, procedure or gear decisions

5.2 Co-ordinate interplant initiatives and facilitate the sharing of best practices

5.3 Metrics corrective action

5.4 Analyze upward feedback / drive into Best Practice where appropriate

6 EHS Responsibility Requirement

6.1 Have the responsibility of choosing non-toxic or low- toxic material, low noise and energy saving and safe production machines.

6.2 Repair & maintain and check safety protective equipment; and ensure it in good condition.

6.3 Must consider environmental & safety & health issues when initiating a new project or new product or new production line.

6.4 Wear right PPE and operate safety, attend occupational disease medical examination, fire drill and EHS training.
