Job DescriptionPRIMARY FUNCTION:
Lead multiple marketing projects to support segments/applications growth in order to increase sales opportunities across all Eaton business groups
Manage and facilitate marketing projects/programs that position Eaton as a leading industrial brand and a leader in corporate sustainability
Owns the planning and implementation of Continuous Improvement in China Corporate Marketing
Support business tradeshows, roadshows, and other marketing related projects. (Examples include BAUMA, Shanghai/Beijing Auto Show, Electrical roadshows, etc.)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Lead and manage the customer and segment centric tech days to focus on the breadth of Eaton’s solutions.
Responsible for the planning and implementation of all Tech Days.
Build a Tech Day repository/library focused on key segments and applications
Manage all business groups with regards to logistics, planning, seminar speakers, vendor management, communications and Pre and Post 30-60-90 day results tracking.
Develop collateral to clearly articulate value propositions and key messaging / positioning for Tech Day and to promote the Eaton brand and support BUs’ sales growth.
Develop systematic tools and processes to standardize Tech Days.
Evolve Tech Day to solution/application-oriented under “One Eaton”
Owner of continuous improvement in Tech Days to optimize processes, increase cost savings, increase project efficiencies, and enhance cross BU sales opportunities. (Tools & processes includes SIPOC, VSM, VOC, IRSMF, RACI, etc.)
Mentor and train cross business marketing team members to adopt a standardized Tech Day platform (tools & processes) across the One Eaton team.
Support BU tradeshows / roadshows by guiding these events to adopt standardized corporate branding guidelines, templates to develop value proposition and key messages, and standardized seminar presentations.
Manages internal and external services vendors in development of marketing/sales tools to support solutions focused Tech Days.
B. Manage, Develop, and Communicate the Shanghai Eaton Experience Center (EEC) in order to create a program that offers a world-class experience that impacts sales, builds lasting relationships with customers and partners, and demonstrates the breadth and depth of our solutions.
• Develop program infrastructure and procedures that includes:
1) Subject matter expert speaker/presenter pool (engage, schedule and confirm participation)
2) Business and cross business presentation contents
3) Software and hardware systems, maintenance and upgrades
4) Hospitality and future staffing plan.
• Develop and enforce adherence of the EEC policies & procedures by all users.
• Establish an EEC advisory council consists of a GM from each BU to review metrics, improve the Solutions Selling journey, and incorporate the EEC as part of BU sales process.
• Upsell EEC to senior business leaders as a strategic sales tool, train business representatives to conduct business EEC tours, and develop metrics to measure sales impact.
• Formulate a strategy and execute on that strategy to localize and create a variety of materials including posters, videos and brochures etc. to improve and enhance Customer Experience in EEC
• Plan the budget for the EEC program during each profit plan cycle and work to get support on those budget from senior leadership
• Develop a Solutions selling journey
• Develop deep understanding of customer needs and wants
• Develop metrics that measures effectiveness and sales impact to the BUs.
• Manage EEC marketing and communications – such as promotional materials and website development.
• Facilitate and/or monitor customer briefings
• Responsible gathering and reporting of customer feedback
• Showcases our offerings to expand sales opportunities
• Implements a cycle of continuous improvement
• Evolve the EEC to focus on solution based strategic sales tool.
• Measures effectiveness as a sales and marketing tool
C. Support the Eaton Value Cycle program.
Coordinate with BU Marketing and HR leaders to identify training location and employees to be trained.
Develop training calendar and budget and match trainers to the training sessions in need.
Arrange all value cycle related logistics including the Train-The-Trainer workshops.
D. Schedule and prepare quarterly China marketing councils meetings.
Responsible for documentation of meeting minutes
Follow up on key action items with council members.
E. Assist in the training and implementation of the standardized customer relationship review (CRR) for all BUs in China.
F. Conduct best practices collection and transfer in branding, sustainability, promotions, value propositions, etc. with Corporate Marketing and Marketing Communication teams in U.S., EMEA, Latin America, and India.
G. Partner with China PR & GR teams to promote Eaton Tech Days and EEC programs with internal and external customers.
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree required with 6-8 years of experience preferably in Marketing and Sales Management, Business Management, Communications.
Master’s degree and/or MBA is a plus.
He or she need to have exceptional oral/written communication skills both in English and Chinese.
Experiences working with Government, State Owned Enterprises (SOE) and Multinational Corporations (MNC) preferred
Experiences with print, web-based, and digital marketing communication preferred.
Good facilitation and presentation skills
Excellence in power point and excel.
Project management skills: ability to identify, plan, execute against project goals and evaluate effectiveness.
Ability to learn from project mistakes to continue prevent future mistakes and evolve and growth future project successes.
Change management: demonstrated ability to achieve cross business buy-in’s and experience leading change management initiatives in a matrix organization.
Marketing and vision and acumen.
