PURPOSE:
- To deliver valuable, profitable income for company through managing and representing the office/team within the East China market for core service of agency and occupier strategic advice
- To lead a team of diverse brokers and enhance its team spirit. To work closely with other hub offices, team/sector heads throughout Mainland China as well as the China skill head to market nation-wide business.
- To develop and build a strong network of corporate clients in Shanghai and/or China, preferably Shanghai.
- To strategically manage an office agency team in East China region.
CONTEXT:
- Need to identify and maximise cross-selling opportunities to support the company one- team
- Support alliances with global partners
- Recognise changing profile of occupiers (and hence clients) -need to become used to handling different types of client and satisfying their needs
DIMENSIONS:
- Management of East China OSG team within annual business plan targets
- Direct responsibility for team (usually between 8-10 direct reports)
- Multi-national team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make maximum use of existing client database to generate further business with existing company clients
- Establish strong networks and profile both within the local business community and national property market e.g. through seminars, roadshows, involvement in professional bodies etc.
- Target and initiate research into potential clients
- Maximise financial benefits for clients (either minimising costs for occupancy, or maximising value of property assets through lettings)
- Create department/team annual business targets and plan
- Deliver professional advice to corporate clients through leading and motivating the team
- Ensure that team adhere to company quality processes
- Represent company values around business

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree level qualification
- MRICS and MSc in Real Estate
- Business management skills e.g. knowledge of basic accounting practices, business planning tools
- Selling and negotiating skills
- Basic IT skills (word-processing, spreadsheets and lotus)
- Complete understanding of local market
- In-depth knowledge of current legislation (e.g. Landlord and Tenant)
- Fluent English and Mandarin, with good writing skills
- Leadership and motivational skills
- Have at least 8 years experience in Corporate Real Estate and transaction management, preferably in Asia.
- Beneficial to have experience as a 'client'
- Experience of working as part of a team to deliver client service
- Prior experience of managing a team(s) a distinct advantage
- Proven people management experience in the past, preferably leading a team consisting of different nationalities
