JOB DESCRIPTION
1 Develop/sustain/improve all assembly processes.
2 Time study analysis/Line balancing study/Lean manufacturing.
3 Maintain capacity model, identify the bottlenecks and drive capacity improvement.
4 Assure the IE staff is trained in the Quotation process to administrate quoting activities that yield complete, accurate, timely quotes.
5 Participate in customer meetings and audits. Effectively present Jabil IE processes, initiatives, and strengths to current and potential customers.
6 Direct and execute NPI activity for assigned customer.
7 Support customers’ business needs using Jabil’s standard processes where possible and customized solutions where necessary. Influence customers in order to leverage Jabil’s Best-in-Class solutions.
8 Ensure that Industrial Engineers participate in determining loading to create a realistic commitment that best supports customer needs. Maintain a disciplined process to ensure processes, procedures, visual, tooling, etc. are available to support production activities per the schedule. Disconnects between IE readiness and production requirements such as missing visuals, tooling and fixtures or ECN implementation are continuously monitored and eliminated.
9 Execute IE functions according to the business objectives and policies & procedures. Continuously improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the functions. Drive down overall cost of manufacturing including head counts, administration expenses, material scrap etc. due to manufacturing related defects.
10 Maintain a global prospective when making process, procedure or gear decisions.
11 Co-ordinate interplant initiatives and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
12 Analyze upward feedback / drive into Best Practice where appropriate.
13 Other assignments from the management.
14 Make a supervision on sorting waste.
15 Ensure operators wear protective equipment in practice(if applicable) .
16 Have the responsibility of choosing non-toxic or low- toxic material , low noise and energy saving and safe production machines.
17 Repair & maintain and check safety protective equipment ; and ensure it in good condition.
18 Must consider environmental & safety & health issues when initiating a new project or new product or new production line. 19 Wear right PPE and operate safety , attend occupational disease medical examination ,fire drill and EHS training.
20 Identify and sort waste in a way.
21 Must follow EICC provision.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1 Advanced PC skill such as AutoCAD, including training knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
2 Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manual.
3 Strong interpersonal communication & presentation skills, effective leadership.
4 Staffing is balanced across all manufacturing areas of responsibility to optimizetotal performance within the Work cell.
5 Strong ability to define problems , collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion.
6 Knowledge in MOST works measurement.
