Essential duties and responsibilities:
1.Advises managers,supervisors and employees in interpretation and application of human resources polices and procedures;serves as liaison and provides technical expertise to resolve human resources related issues.Responds to inquires regarding polices,procedures and programs.
2.Develop staffing strategy and manages the full-cycle recruiting process,which includs processing Staff Requisitions,creating and posting positions and advertisements,working with department heads,sourcing and screening the candidates,conducting background checks,checking references and administering pre-employment testing.
3.Responds to employee relation issues such as employee performance concerns and other employment practice complaints.
4.Administers the Company's Annual Performance and Salary Review Process and revises as necessary.
5.Ensure compliance with all federal,state and local laws and regulation completes and files annual government reports.
6.Administers performance evaluation program and revises as necessary to ensure effectiveness,compliance and equity within the organization.
7.Administers compensation program;rewrites job descriptions as necessary;conducts annual salary surveys and analyses compensation to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
8.Creats training programs which will help to continually improve productivity and effectiveness of employees and management.Recommends,evaluates and participates in staff development.
9.Function as Team Lead or participant on HR related projects and activities that impact overall organizatioin.
10.Identifies legal requirements and regulations affecting human resource functions and ensure policies,procedures and reports are in compliance.
11.Promotes a harassment-free environment;assists in building a diverse workforce.
12.Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.Stays current with developments within the HR field and shares expertise with others.
13.Assists in the development,administration and communications of various human resources plans,procedures and polices,maintain the company handbook.
14.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and work experience:
1.A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
2.Professional in Human Resources.
3.Minimum 8 years relevant Human Resources Generalist experience,including minimum of 3-4 years of labor relations experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.Including negotiations preparation
4.Direct supervisory or manager experience required
5.Knowledgeable in employement law and other government compliance regulations and requirements.
6.Prefer candidate with experience/certification in Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing deployment.
Knowledge and skills:
1.Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources and governmental rules,regulations and procedures,including applicable Safety rugulations and the Workers On-the-job Inquiry/illness claims management process.
2.At least 5 years experience in dealing with Employee Relations such as legal and regulatory issues,employee conduct,performance management,policies and practices.
3.Requires effective oral,written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present ideas,and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
4.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints and faciliate conflict resolution.
5.Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Word,Excel and Power Point.
6.Excellent follow up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Ability to work independently with little direction.
7.Interpersonal and team skills with ability ro professionally interact with all levels of personnel required.
8.Fluent English writing and speaking skills.
9.Able to travel.
