ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
-Product design covering the whole development cycle inc. schematics, High-speed layout guidelines, validation and NPI support for product introduction to manufacturing
-Work with PCB engineer during Critical part placement & routing
-Sourcing of alternative functional blocks for compatibility and cost effectiveness and benchmarking of these functional blocks, Create BOM & AVL, assist SCM to pick strategic vendors & parts to meet design goals
-Prototype bring-up & assist EVT & DVT builds for design related issues
-Support the System validation as well as SPIT (Signal, Power, Integrity & Timing) measurements
-System level debug and root cause analysis
-End of life re-design, new vendor qualification, and Design related issues found in Manufacturing or Field
-Closely work with software, mechanical, thermal, signal integrity, manufacturing, and power teams to support new features & debug
-Work with a cross-functional global team in multiple time zones
Person Background:
-Candidates should have at least 8 or more years experience of hardware design
-Typically, the following essential qualifications and experiences would be requested:
-Bachelor or Master in Electronics, computing, engineering or similar
-Good written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience with system HW design – system definition, schematic capture, test methodologies
-Well know Broadcom network switch architecture, design experiences of Tomahawk, Trident, Hurricane3, Firebolt5 and etc
-Working knowledge of Intel, AMD, Marvell, APM, Aquantia, Microsemi Networking, Servers class chipsets
-Working knowledge of POE and POE+
-Solid experiences on high-speed design, such as PCIE, XFI, KR and SFP+ /QSFP, DDR3/4, etc.
-Strong lab skills with hands on experience operating oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators etc
-Hands-on design tools of Or-CAD, Concept, Allegro or Mentor Graphics
Person Attributes:
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working with a minimum of supervision in a dynamic team environment. Good interpersonal skills: be able to communicate in English and with members of other teams, departments and clients; strong sense of ownership is needed.
