Typical Duties:
1.Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure;
2.Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close;
3.Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information;
4.Will involve invoicing customers and collections;
5.May need to work with customs clearance issues;
6.May need to draft customer contracts and non-disclosure agreements;
7.Assist with the daily banking requirements;
8.Ensure the accurate and timely processing of transactions;
9.Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives;
10.Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
11.Responds to inquiries from the Director of Finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like;
12.Work with the Director of Finance to ensure a clean and timely year end audit;
13.Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department;
14.Support Director of Finance with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Education and Qualifications:
1.Business degree with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experience;
2.Five years prior experience in the financial reporting area;
3.Must have strong written and spoken English skills;
4.Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word;
5.Strong verbal and written communication skills;
6.Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required;
7.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
