JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of this position is to start the commercial activity in the textile business in East China, and continue our business in this sector in South China. An experienced Chinese citizen is needed to perform these commercial activities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales team in East China for textile industry:
a. Detect and report the sales team needs.
b. Develop and manage the sales team for textile industry.

2. Support:
a. Support the General Manager.
b. Support company worldwide sales team, particularly in the textile business.
c. Support company (Shanghai) technical team.
d. Train and manage the textile sales team.
e. Technical support during trials.

3. Sales:
a. Lead the sales operations of company in East & South China for all textile applications.
b. Develop sales in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Guangdong. This area may be expanded.
c. Define the sales strategy in East and South China.
d. Define and draft sales policies and procedures for textile business.
e. Management of samples shipment for textile business.
f. Generate sales reports.

4. Market research and evaluation:
a. Draft market studies of the sales area.
b. Attend trade meetings and industry conventions.
c. Analyze data to identify sales opportunities.
d. Develop promotional ideas.

5. Customers:
a. Identify potential customers.
b. Develop a customer portfolio in East and South China (under the supervision of the GM).
c. Keep customer files and information up to date.
d. Develop and keep business relationship with decision makers.

6. company HQ:
a. Attend company global sales meetings.
b. Report tocompany Corporate Textile BU Director.

7. company Shanghai:
a. Help GM prepare budgets.
b. Develop pricing strategy with the General Manager.
c. Control and monitor expenses.
d. Support other businesses (flexpack, photovoltaic, TPU’s, technical lamination).


CRITERIA FOR MEASURING EFFICIENT PERFORMANCE:
1. The sales director will devote most of his time to the textile business.
2. Performance will be measured attending to the sales volume achieved and customer portfolio development.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
1. Technical degree, preferably in Chemistry related areas.
2. Proven experience in textile business in China.
3. Chinese citizen.
4. Fluent in English.

SKILLS REQUIERED:
1. Good interpersonal communication and coordination.
2. Excellent teamwork and staff development.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR SALES OR /AND EXPENSES:
1. Full responsibility in sales activities / results.
2. Management of the sales team budget and control of their expenses.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:
1. Availability for travel more than 50% of working time across China and south-east Asia.
2. Availability for occasional travel to Europe.
