Business Development / Account Manager – The PAC Group China Operations
Overview of Position:
? Position reports to the VP-Asia/Pacific Operations, the Managing Director-China Operations, and Global VP-Business Development.
? Position is based from PAC’s office in Shanghai, China; with regional travel as required for client meetings.
Qualifications:
? Either a Business or Engineering degree
? Preferably a minimum of 5 years experience in a management or marketing role within a consulting services or engineering environment
? Prior exposure to manufacturing sectors as targeted clients
? A proactive and structured approach to problem diagnosis, presentation and solution development.
? A high standard of communication (verbal, written)
? Proficiency in multi-tasking
? Capability in MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
? Must exhibit an appreciation for overall global business needs and have a degree of aptitude and previous experience in communicating with senior management levels within customer environments.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
Responsibilities would include:
? Leading New Business Development activities with prospective clients across China.
? Participating in the concept development for delivery of consulting services to clients in China.
? Interacting with our global leadership in identifying opportunities and developing services to support worldwide customers.
? Conceiving and presenting proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
? Networking in industry associations in order to enhance the brand image of the company, generate new business contacts, and enhance leading-edge practices for the company.
? Safeguarding client satisfaction through on-going communication with clients.
People Skills:
? Accountable for acquisition of clients in China.
? Effective, pro-active leadership and teamwork.
? Ensure adherence to PAC Group Operational (H/R, Marketing, Business Development, Financial, etc) policies and procedures
? Develop and maintain culture and values consistent with those of The PAC Group
? Facilitate vertical and horizontal communication
Commercial Performance
? Achieve revenue and profitability targets as set by the PAC Group executive team.
? Lead the market / competitor research, identifying mechanisms to grow existing services – market segments and enter new services market segments
? Represent The PAC Group nationally and internationally
? Drive contract negotiations with clients
? Ensure line management accountability for commercial performance
Reporting:
? Present opportunities, plans, budgets and forecasts to the PAC executive team
? Present ad hoc and formal presentations and reports to Executive Management covering all aspects of business development performance.
Monitoring:
? Set relevant Key Performance Indicators
? Monitor commercial performance in accordance with budget and key business indicators
? Monitor and measure client satisfaction
Stakeholder Management:
? Establish and maintain active and harmonious relationships with key executives globally in The PAC Group
? Set, manage and ensure delivery of the client experience with PAC during commercial stage.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have prior experience serving in a Business Development role with a services consulting company. Will have background in manufacturing sectors, or will have exposure to other growth industries in China as applicable.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified.
