Job Location: Zhejiang, Anji;
Job description and responsibilities:
Be responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day running of Hello Kitty Park. This includes key functions, such as managing the customer experience, monitoring health and safety, relative staff training, supervise employees and allocate resources so that visitors will be satisfied Hello Kitty Park will realize a profit on its operations.
Directors of Operations manage the overall operations of the park, propose and implement strategies to constantly improve customer satisfaction and park development. He or she makes sure that the plans are in place, so the park does not make any promises it cannot keep.
He or she also must see that all decisions made are within the park’s mission, vision, and values.
Directors of Operations exert authority over every activity taking place in Hello Kitty Park. They inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis, authorizing repairs and renovations as needed. The insure safety procedures and insure that risks are minimized for visitors.
Additionally, they may oversee or take sole responsibility for the marketing of the park in order to generate business.
Work activities:
? Planning and implementing strategies to achieve constant improvements in employee and visitor satisfaction;
? Keeping abreast of developments in the industry, both internal and external;
? Overseeing the effective application of health and safety regulations and risk assessment to ensure a safe environment for park employees and the public;
? Liaising with contractors, e.g. for the installation and integration of facilities;
? Dealing with human resources and personnel;
? Maintaining a critical oversight of marketing functions;
? Monitoring competition.
Advancement Opportunities:
This position is one of the top management level positions in Hello kitty Park, there are only a few advancement opportunities beyond this position. This person may advance on up to a General Manager position or a Chief Executive Officer position. Another advancement opportunity in this field would be to move to a bigger and more prestigious theme park within Insight Holding Group.
Recommended Education and training:
At least a bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or psychology.
A master’s degree is also helpful. Additional courses in travel and tourism are also helpful.
Essential Skills:
Demonstrate interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and supervisory skills. Must have the skills to manage large numbers of employees and keep them motivated to do a good job. Must have the ability to select qualified employees.
Appropriate Personalities:
Having a service mindset and being flexible. Knowing that they are going to work more than an eight-hour day. If there is something to be done, they know that no matter how long it takes; they will get it done. The best personality traits a Director of Operations can have are a service attitude and be flexible.
Experience and qualifications:
Have had working experience with attractions and theme parks
Have climbed the ladder in a specific attraction or theme park
Require upper-level management experience in the industry.
Starting out on the frontline and gaining knowledge and experience in an attraction or park is preferred.
Being an active member in a service organization, or having a job that is management related is helpful.
