Position Title: Makeup Pro Artist
Department: Human Resources
Responsibilities:
- Represent the spirit and integrity of Sephora
- Facilitate Store, and Brand training in makeup category as needed
- Contribute to the overall creation of artistry training content and programs
- Demonstrate and model client service expectations and elevated selling skills
- Perform advanced color consultations with a focus on education, and makeup application technique
- Partner with Stores, Education, and Marketing to conduct client events and classes
- Support, Coach, and Mentor Senior Artists and BA
- Provide makeup application tips, technique, and current trends for Education and all cross-functional team, including PR, Creative, and Social Media
- Participate in live camera media presentations or training videos when needed
- Establish open line of communication through giving and receiving constructive feedback to cast, leadership, DM, DT, RVP, Education, and Sephora stakeholders
- Participate in media, fashion, merchant events, and activations
- Research and develop an awareness of past, current, and future trends in cosmetics, fashion, and photography
- Attend trainings to develop personal product knowledge and makeup application technique
- Show respect, initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility
- Represent Sephora in a professional and ethical manner at all times, following all Sephora guidelines
- A full understanding of the Sephora concept and values
Qualification:
- Exceptional selling skills, product knowledge in all worlds, and artistry
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal)
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a constantly evolving team environment
- Performs under pressure well and can deliver a complete color consultation in 45 minutes
- Delivers and incorporates feedback effectively
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Credited editorial work and past artistry experience including cosmetology license a plus
- Professional level photo shoot experience and working portfolio a plus
- Certified Color, Skincare, Fragrance and/or Product Expert a plus
- Full-time employment status
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office (word, excel, Outlook)
Role Requirements:
- Able to travel independently including weekends and international, as required
- Effective management of travel, schedule, and expenses
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Flexible with extended hours during events
- Work in a fragrance-filled environment
