Job Duties

Administers and Assists with Development of CN Pre-approved Pricing Guideline
- Reviews UPS’s products to relate product features and benefits to customer needs.
- Analyzes UPS’s & competitors’ pricing components (mainly on net rates and pricing structure) to determine rate differences, make UPS pricing enhancement recommendations and modify UPS’s pricing guidelines accordingly.
- Analyzes package volume and revenue to evaluate trends by segment, service, and lane.
- Audits pricing system to ensure accurate implementation of pricing guidelines by Marketing Systems groups.
- Administers pricing guidelines, operating ratios, and authority matrices to create pricing input data used in pricing tools and costing models.
- Utilizes advanced Access and Data Warehouse skills to complete reports and analyses.

Develops Revenue Management Procedures to Align with Region’s Directions on Pricing Strategy and Also to Localize for CN Practices
- Analyzes competitive environment and collaborates with internal departments to identify market conditions impacting UPS’s revenue management strategy.
- Gathers and evaluates competitor intelligence (e.g., pricing postures, discount practices, response to UPS’s pricing actions, etc.) to uncover factors for loss and unrealized business.
- Develops pricing response recommend & determines relevant impact to internal dept & systems (e.g., Pricing, Billing, Sales, etc.) to submit to mgmt (e.g., Revenue Mgmt Strategy Manager, Rev Mgmt Strategy Director, etc.) for input and approval consideration.
- Formulates clear and succinct policies and procedures to implement, upon China Legal and management approval, to Pricing groups via training initiatives.
- Validates costing and pricing models authorization compliance to satisfy external audit requirements.

Provides Revenue Management Internal Customer Support
- Creates and manages revenue management tools (e.g., Monthly Payor Pricing Activity Pyramid, Weekly SOA Pricing Activity, etc.) to support Pricing and Sales groups.
- Provides revenue management expertise in marketing initiatives to sync with revenue management strategies.
- Provides revenue management guidance (e.g., training, clarification of pricing tools, policies, procedures, etc.) to internal departments (e.g., District Sales, Country MKT, etc.) to support business decisions and operations.

Provides Contract Compliance Program Analysis and Implementation Assistance
- Evaluates expiring customers’ contracts to determine automatic renewal eligibility.
- Administers customer contract compliance programs to ensure revenue management policy and procedure adherence by field operations.
- Manages customer contract administration tools to display contract performance and identify underperforming customers.
Supervises and Develops Others
- Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
- Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.
- Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
- Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.

Job Requirements

Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Intl Equivalent – Required
- Master's Degree – Business, General Preferred

Working Experience
- More than 5 years relevant working experience
- Familiar with Access and Excel – Required
- Worked as a team leader - Required
- Data analysis and VBA – Preferred
- Experience of sales support/internal audit/customer service is an advantage
