Job Description
Operational
1. Ensure through effective supervision that all services offered at the SPA are carried out with utmost professionalism, efficiency and courtesy on daily operations.
2. Oversee, supervise and monitor all facets of daily operations in SPA.
3. Maintaining safety standards, maintenance and cleanliness in all the SPA areas are key functions.
4. Participate and assist in the development of Job Description manuals for each division.
5. Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate all supervisors and associate of respective disision.
6. Ensure all guests and visitors to SPA leave with a pleasant experience.
7. Maintain and enhance guest satisfaction through effective relations and inter-personal skills.
8. Maintain and enhance government bodies through effective communication and public relations skills.
9. Conduct inspection tours of the facilities.
10. Ensure facility is clean and well maintained at all times.
11. Assist subordinates in all parts of Spa during peak periods and during shortage of manpower.
12. Maintain and promote an atmosphere of tranquility and peace in Spa areas at all times.
FINANCIAL
1. Participate and assist in the preparation of Annual Department Budget.
2. Ensure that expenses are in line, or below, with Department's Operational Budget and that costs are strictly controlled.
3. Introduce improvements and adjustment to ensure the facility is cost-effective and profitable.
4. Responsible and accountable for the overall Profit & Loss of the outlets.
MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS
1. Attend sales and promotional events as appropriate and as directed.
2. Entertain regular and potential clients, guests, government bodies.
3. Maximize sales of in-house facilities, merchandise, and products through effective promotions and packages with Spa.
4. Ability to effectively create and design innovative marketing sales and strategies relating to SPA operations.
5. Create and present a marketable facility, merchandise display, and program, at all times.
6. Liaise with Head Office, Hotel and Corporate Sales & Marketing Communication departments.
ASSOCIATE RELATIONS
1. Ensure all subordinates are punctual for duty in correct uniform with name tags on at all times.
2. Ensure all subordinates project a professional image and pleasant disposition to enhance guests experience at all times.
3. Build an efficient and productive team of associates by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training and development, and through effective counseling.
4. Ensure that all associates have a complete understanding of the Spa policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
5. Conduct orientation program and training courses for new associates and regular "refresher" courses for existing associates.
6. Conduct periodical evaluation of associates' performance and take appropriate corrective measures for improvements.
7. Interview new associates in liaison with Spa's Human Resources Department.
8. Propose associates' annual vacation and schedule Public Holidays off-in-lieu during off-peak periods.
9. Ensure that the facility is adequately man during peak periods and at all times.
10. Take appropriate disciplinary action against offenders who repeatedly violate company's rules and regulations, and policies and procedures.
TRAINING
1. Ensure new associates attend hotel's and spa's orientation program before commencing work in SPA.
2. Ensure that associates are hired according to the requirements and specifications for the appropriate position.
3. Regularly update and improve training to reflect on current industry standards, trends and customers' expectations relating to SPA experience.
ADMINISTRATION
1.Ensure that respective division`s monthly and other reports and correspondences are completed and punctually and accurately.
2.Plan and effective schedule associate`s roster to maxiamize manpower resources.
3.Ensure SPA and related general items suppl6y items are in sufficient stock, and that their consumption is in line the with business demands.
GENERAL
1.Respond actively and quickly to changes in the SPA operations as dictates by the industry, companty or hotel.
2.Undertake any other assignments and duties as may be required from time to time.
3.Ensure that gambling, squabbling, smoking,consumption of alcohol, or the use of dangerous drugs are strictly prohibited in the premisses at all times.
4.Protect and preserve the Company`s interest, reptutation, and image at all times.
Requirements
1. Excellent inter-personal skills with advance excellent English communication skills;
2. Prior experience in spa, hot spring or hospitality industry preferred;
3. Able to operate PC with general software programs;
4. Can work well under pressure & flexible.
