职位描述
Job Purpose:
As a member of the school’s senior management team, the General Manager (School Operations) works closely with the Superintendents, Co-Principals and Headquarters Division Heads in operating the school and are committed in:
1. Upholding the school’s Philosophy and Objectives by aligning and coordinating the school resources, and ensuring the implementation of P&O in daily school operations.
2.Ensuring the initiatives and directives of Headquarter are carried out and complied with.
3. Maintaining a high quality school environment that is safe & friendly.
4.Ensuring all employees are treated with respect and with high quality services.
5. Developing potential employees.
6.Managing and overseeing the school budget.
7.Ensuring a continued enhancement in daily school operations.
8.Ensuring parents and students are treated with respect and with high quality services.
The General Manager (School Operations) also works in partnership with the General Manager (Business development) for the public affairs of the school within the location.
Duties:
A. Work with the Co-Principals regarding the following issues:
1.Annual review of the Fee Schedule and Withdrawal & Refund Policies.
2. The student enrollment meets the target number.
3.Annual Operating Capacity Plan.
4.Annual Staffing Projection.
5.Annual Scholarship Program proposal.
6.Annual School Operations Budget.
7.Annual Renovation Plan on campus.
8.Support school programs & activities.
B. Supervise the operations of the Non-Academic Divisions including Marketing, Admissions, Parent Relations, Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Supporting and Repair & Maintenance; ensuring :
1.The school facilities meet Health and Safety standards.
2.Operational practices meet relevant laws and regulations.
3.A continued improvement in the quality-oriented operational support system to meet with internal customers as well as clients’ satisfaction.
4.An appropriate documentation system is in place and all documents are kept timely within various departments.
5.The selection of the outsourced vendors in the area of school facility expansion, landscaping, security, catering , school bus, cleaning and school facilities & equipments are under proper procedures and endure the services rendered are with high-standard to the School.
6.The overall budget planning and delivery are completed according to deadlines.
7.The Management Operations Manual is reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
C. Work with Headquarters Division Heads to :
1.Build a strong Marketing & Admission team to promote brand awareness and to achieve a strong market position as the “Leader in Global Education”.
2. Inculcate and foster Yew Chung organization culture amongst all levels of employees.
3.Establish Yew Chung as a “Preferred Employer of Choice” amongst peers.
4.Enhance all HR procedures and practice covering recruitment, performance review, compensation & benefit, employee relations, employee engagement, staff retention and talent development.
Yew Wah International School of Guangzhou Job Description
1. Ensure ICT (Information and Communication Technology) developments meet the school needs.
2.Supervise the standards and implementation of school’s renovation & fitting out projects that can meet the school’s educational needs, fits in with the school’s timeline and is cost-effective.
3.Review the services provided by the insurance agencies (medical, travel, employer’s liability, property…) and reflect any discrepancy to relevant Division Heads for follow up actions.
D. Licenses and Liaison:
1. Supervise the renewal of annual school licenses, including the School Permit 、 Corporate Legal Person Certificate 、Organization Code Certificate 、Expatriate Recruitment Certificate
2.Liaise with local Municipal Education Commission, local Management Agency and other related local government units for school operations issues.
3. Liaise with School’s appointed lawyer for legal cases.
4.Liaise with School’s Accounting Consultant for tax issues.
5.Represent the School in professional organizations and forums, as needed.

4. Sound management acumen with proven track record of implementing management & operations programs.
5. Global-minded with strong international sense.
6. Past experience in education and school operations definitely an advantage.
