A renowned international education group with a strong and expanding presence in China, Hong Kong, and USA, is offering a newly created role in Marketing and Communications Division. Based in Shanghai, the Senior School Marketing Manager reports directly to the Head of China Marketing and is responsible for helping formulate marketing and communication strategies at the school level in accordance with the organisation’s overall business and education directions and objectives while addressing local needs. He/she will also lead a small team to strengthen content, visual and digital marketing capacity at the school level to ensure all the internal and external marketing and communication related initiatives are focused, integrated, and impactful.

This position will provide guidance and support to individual marketing and admission team of the 18 schools across China.

Major Responsibilities:

· Provide guidance and support to school specific marketing and communication strategies across different geographic locations.

· Supervise a small school marketing team with key responsibility to provide on-the-ground support to school leadership teams in advancing their internal and external marketing agenda.

· Provide guidance on quality content to highlight the organisations academic vision and philosophy and school-based marketing effort.

· Define digital marketing strategy on acquisition and retention via the social media, digital marketing tools available in the market (i.e. SEM & SEO, eDM) and re-targeting tools

· Identify potential social media platforms and enhance customer digital experience via various platforms

· Review cost and budget with school marketing heads to ensure an effective cost control

· Develop project timeline with a internal stakeholder to ensure timely implementation

· Work closely with marketing at the corporate level for better alignment and consistency

· Initiate marketing and communication related training for school marketing professionals

· Ensure high quality editorial standards and provide guidance and to internal and external communication materials at the school level.

· Proactively identify and explore innovative online and offline platforms and channels to create impact.

· Collaborate closely with school leadership teams and school marketing functions to ensure a clear understanding of and effective implementation of the marketing strategy at the school level.

· Work closely with Head of China Marketing to ensure the school marketing strategy aligns with the larger marcom priorities for the organisation at large.

· Develop a rigorous business plan with measurable short to long-term goals and KPIs.

• Safeguard the overall reputation of the organisation and become a brand evangelist for the institution, affliliated schools and stakeholders.
• Ensure effective escalation protocols for crisis management and prevention.

• Contribute to and facilitate any internal and external meetings as required.
• To carry out any other duties as required by Head of China Marketing.

Academic, Job Experience Requirements and Qualifications:

· Bachelor degree or above in Marketing / Business Administration / Public Relations

· Proficiency in Mandarin and English

· 10+ years of experience in marketing and communication

· Strong nation-wide marketing experience in a large organisation

· Familiarity with the latest marketing and communication platforms including digital and social media
