Job Description:
The Project Engineer is responsible for clarifying technical details for definition phase together with the Project Manager, the customer and other interest groups. He is also responsible for instructing suppliers in technical details and documentation execution.
Responsibilities and authorities are project based and should be agreed project by project. Typically they are as follows:
Responsibilities
- To clarify technical matters
- To participate and contribute in project start up meetings
- Documentation
- Reporting to the Project Manager
- Reporting to the customer on agreed issues
- Purchase plans when required
- Technical fit for the customer's process
- Receiving of equipment
- Taking care of factory acceptance test
- Delivery of equipment
- Filling of documentation
Authorities
- Technical acceptance of purchases
- To make additional quotations if so agreed with sales
- Keeping up plus-minus lists
- Organising documentation work


Requirements:
The post requires B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) or M.Sc.( Master of Science) degree in automation or process (process industry) discipline and few years' experience of the project business in field instrumentation.
It is an advantage for the Project Engineer to have working knowledge of total field instrumentation deliveries and different process industry processes. He/she should have a firm grasp of the field instrumentation needs of our customers as well as being fully conversant with our own products.
The Project Engineer is presumed to be of a systematic and assertive character. He/she must be able to manage complex situations under pressure. He/she should also be business and customer oriented. He/she must be open minded and ready to share experience and knowledge with the others. He/she must be willing and ready to travel. He/she should have good command of written and spoken English.
