Mission
-Lead R&D team to develop product leadership and algin with Global R&D strategies. Build, develop and drive a regional high efficient product development organization to develop high quality, perfromance and best cost juvenile products.
Main duties
-Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the top executive level so that the research and development strategy is aligned with the long-term vision, mission and objectives of the OGSM
-Define, develop product portfolio to ensure competitive position with regards to specs, packaging, product performance for Asian and Export markets together with marketing
-Define the clear target to function team, make a clear strategy and action plan for achieving the target, instruct and engage the team working on the right direction with high efficient way
-Work with other regional R&D teams and make sure the design and product will be transfered, developed and delivered on time, cost and quality
-Oversee the R&D budget, monitor the cost and effectiveness of R&D activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and maintain professional standard
-Foster strategic business relationships with technical and business decision makers
-Interface with other regional R&D teams and division marketing team to drive and influence global product roadmap
-Lead, direct, evaluate and develop professional research staff to ensure the quality, validity and credibility of product development
-Provide application support, training, seminars, conferences and trade fairs
Level knowledge & experience
-At least Bachelor degree on mechanical engineering
-At least eight years experience in a management role in working with international staff, partners and customers. Cross culture working experience is preferred
-Proven experience in Stroller, Carseat or Toy
-Proven experience leading technical teams
Job competencies
-Able to work independently and remotely
-Able to lead/facilitate technical meetings/presentations
-Team player, Strategic thinking and problem solving skills
-Strong resolve to follow through on initiatives
-Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills to lead highly qualified experts
-Fluent communication (oral/written) skills in English
