Introduction:
- For our SLC Export Control & Customs (SLC ECC) department we are looking for a self driven and highly motivated IT Project Specialist to join our dedicated team.
- A position located in BeiJing, within the SLC Export Control & Customs organization, will assist in the implementation of China company-wide export control and customs program deployment, including the maintenance, advancement and standardization of automated business processes relative to Siemens internal requirements.
- The candidate, in connection with the SLC Export Control & Customs Team, will assist in implementing uniformed automated solutions of cross-unit automation projects effecting export control and customs processes.
- The function requires the candidate to participate in the development and maintenance of project/program plans, including, risk assessment, change management, opportunity identification and technical review of system design and documentation.
- Additionally, the technically (IT) adept individual will assist in deploying robust tools for the SLC ECC Team and Siemens China entities for analyzing, sharing and communicating ECC relevant information. This function includes using current technologies for providing statistical reports, intranet site maintenance and designing platforms for web enabled training.

What are my Responsibilities?
- The candidate, under the authority of ECC management, will be responsible for IT project/program implementation in the maintenance and implementation of export control and customs applications & processes for SLC ECC.
- Implement concepts for standardizing export control and customs applications in accordance with Siemens internal requirements, US and National legal requirements.
- Establish roadmaps, including timelines, to communicate and control the implementation of automated export control and customs applications.
- Implement Review project, including review yearly schedule, guidance, organizing, monitoring and following up review result.
- Instruct and actively participate with the businesses regarding application usage, including drafting user manuals, conducting training, handling change requests and updating/upgrading applications as necessary.
- Support departments overall objective to ensure efficiency and control via automation by using latest technologies, innovative approaches to streamline manual or otherwise outdated tools.
- Design, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft applications including SAP, SharePoint 2007 etc.

What do i need to qualify for this job?
- The candidate must have working knowledge for SAP especially in SD/MM module, Working Knowledge for Microsoft SharePoint 2007.
- The candidate must have strong project management skills and good understanding of business processes.
- The candidate must have demonstrated success in working with the technologies to ensure departmental applications are current and practical for business needs and exhibit capability to manage projects and work in team environment.
- The candidate must have strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- The candidate must be self-motivated, dynamic and work individually on designated tasks, including being result oriented, confident and proactive in meeting aggressive timelines and schedules.
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration / IT related field
- SAP experience is a must
- Project management,
- Strategically apply and develop appropriate action plans
- Presentation and training skills
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Working Knowledge for programming solutions as below
- Microsoft SharePoint 2007
- SQL Server 2005 or higher, a plus
- Microsoft Visual Basic, a plus
- Java Script, a plus
- Microsoft Report Builder 3.0, a plus
- Working Knowledge for Microsoft IIS 6.0 and higher, a plus
