Regional Sales Engineer Job Description
(North China)
Prefer candidates with more technical background than sales experience.
Main Purpose of Position:
The fundamental purpose for this position is to work as a team member with the Sales Manager to grow sales, and fast technical first-aid in customer emergency case. This position will be the front-line contact between the company and the customer. This position reports to the Sales Manager (Appliance).
Essential Functions:
? New customer development in local regional.
? Customer relationship maintenance in local region.
? Projects follow up of local region.
? Fast technical first-aid in emergency case.
? Be knowledgeable of competitor products prices and activities in local region.
? Provide weekly reports regarding customer contacts. Collect as much as possible information regarding the market situation / market development in the region.
? Assist Sales Manager in the analysis, planning, forecasting, and management of the sales territory
? Represent the company at open houses, trade shows, and industry groups
Required Knowledge:
? Minimum 3 years of sales or service working experience in electric or mechanical related field
? Communication, sales, and customer service skills
? Fundamental technical knowledge of electrical appliance machinery.
? Be familiar with Microsoft Office software
? Common business practices relating to commercial terms, shipment, taxes, and payment for products and services
? Working experience in Appliance industry
Required Abilities:
? Build up and maintain strong relationships with customers; understanding their project business/technical needs
? Must be able to communicate effectively with both written and oral methods such as email, phone calls, visit reporting, etc.
? Make consistently good scheduling decisions about visiting customers throughout the territory.
? make efficient use of time and resources
? Strong interpersonal communication, analytical and presentation skills are essential
