Responsibilities:

Main duties are described as follows. Other duties may be assigned as scope and client requirements of the position will be analyzed on an ongoing basis;

- Provide consultation at product selection or design stage, finalize product testing specification for client

- Manage critical path & issues on product development and product life cycle

- Participate regular business meeting between buyers and vendors

- Follow up with vendors for corrective and preventive actions

- Act as liaison as needed between vendors and Client Managers to resolve any technology and business issues

Requirements:

- B.S or above.

- CET 4 or above, fluent in spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Ability to respond in English to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical standards.

- Experience in working with furniture products

- Relevant training experience of foreign trade business with at least 2 years related working xperience

- Familiar with international testing standard, such as ASTM/AATCC /ISO/EN/ DIN/JIS, etc.

- Knowledge of ISO9000 and experience for vendor education (CAP follow up and verification).

- Basic knowledge in product testing and sample inspection.

- Excellent communication skill with client, vendor / factory and testing lab / inspection team.

Preferred Requirement:

- Experience of working for a retailer, importer or trading company.

- Familiar with retailer sourcing process and QA.

- 5 years of furniture related work experience in design, QA or laboratory.

- Experience in the application of finite element analysis on mechanical structure and loading

- Strong technical knowledge on furniture products, and have knowledge in the areas

- Highly commercial - understanding the balance between cost and quality.

- Exposure to quality product.

- Ability to work within a design lead and innovate environment.

Other skills and abilities:

- Basic General computer knowledge

- Good proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel
