Job Description ( Managerial )

Job Title : Sales Manager

Department : B2B

Location : Shanghai

Reports to (Title) : Vice President


PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

? Developed the B2B as a global product for the company and has begun to launch it in China late 2012 as its first customer site.
? Promoting, marketing and securing Chinese users is undertaken
? “Sales Manager” is a management position tasked with the responsibility to manage key accounts and a team of telesales and direct sales reps to achieve business targets and performance metrics
? Position will ensure high extent of policy compliance by the sales team in order to protect and improve company brand image, and enhance customer experience
? Create and maintain a high energy, stable and efficient working environment for the team
? Work closely with other departments in the business unit to fulfil customer expectations and increase customer retention rates


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

? Monitor sales team and sales operation on a daily basis to ensure new customer acquisition and contract renewals in line with performance metrics. Sales teams are based out of Shanghai and Guangzhou and may expand into other cities
? Ensure Policy & Procedure is followed and complied by every sales team members, and implement corrective action against any discipline misconduct
? Design and implement effective commission and incentive schemes to motivate excellent performance
? Leverage QA team to monitor daily sales activity, identify violations and implement corrective action
? Identify, create and manage appropriate partners to scale in selected key verticals
? Conduct investigation and handle conflicts between sales reps regarding customer ownership, performance recognition, others
? Monitor and ensure various productivity and performance KPI are achieved by individual sales reps and teams
? Execution of various sales campaigns, promotion programs and other sale activities.
? Develop measures and program to stimulate morale and cultivate a high engagement team spirit in the work place.
? Other responsibilities being assigned from time to time

Internal External
- VP, B2B Business Unit - External Customers
- Sales Team Leaders, Telesales and Sales Reps - Trade Associations, partners
- Product Director and Marketing
- Other cross functional teams

COMPLEXITY:

? Routine work which calls for little problem solving.
? Problems usually referred to supervisor for solution.
? Deals with routine problems but refer unusual problems to supervisor.
? Deals with unusual problems as well as routine problems.
? Deal with problems including those relating to personnel.


ACCOUNTABILITY:

? Close supervision with frequent and detailed instructions.
? Working within structured guidelines on most duties. Makes some decision, refers only unusual problems to supervisor.
? Under general direction with specific objectives given. Makes most decisions.
? Works independently and uses own judgement for most decisions. Responsible for some planning.
? Accountable for the actions of those supervised as well as for own actions.


EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

? Minimum 3-year sales management experience in B2B
? Managerial experience in managing a sales team of more than 10 people
? Creative, proactive thinker with strong communication skills, capable of managing through leadership and persuasive approach
? Strong execution in multiple tasks environment and excellent skill in communicating, coordinating and co-working with different functional counterparts
? Self-motivated, detail-oriented and willing to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
? College degree or above.
? Efficient at Spoken & Written English.
