ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Design and validate the hardware within an agreed delivery timeline, and according to the hardware design rules in place to meet requested quality objectives. Assure the hardware maintenances and the corrective actions in case of problems or improvements linked with hardware ( analyze defective parts to find the root cause of the problems).
Establish the hardware development plan describing the main development phases, from the specification analysis up to the hardware verification and validation plans.
Establish the specifications and drawings of all the specific components needed. Establish with the component and quality engineers the validation test plans of these components.
Create and update the technical and project management documentations related at the hardware according to the internal procedures.(PDP)
Establish and maintain the Bill of Material taking into account the approved components / supplier determined by sourcing team.(ECN)
Conduct the pre-studies for new products in order to evaluate the cost, investment, time schedule and engineering hours, according to the internal pre-study process. Design the schematic diagram and get a preliminary BOM to be used by sourcing and manufacturing engineering to quote the product.
Benchmark products from the competition to compare the designs and products / systems costs.
Establish a PCB file requirements / specification which will be use by the CAD technicians to draw the PCB layout
In case of Quality problems take place, an analysis of defective parts will be held to find the root cause and propose product improvements.
Study on competitors’ products and make an analysis report if necessary, to show ourselves in the market as far as costs and techniques used are concerned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 10 years working experience in a similar position, developing hardware for products in similar markets.
Electronic engineer graduated with a strong experience in hardware design in mix analog / digital circuits for low signal and power control.
Experience in developing hardware for high volume products supplied in 120Vac or 230Vac.
Have knowledge of the electronic manufacturing processes.
Show real capacity to analyze and resolve the technical problems.
Show analytical and organizational mind, and method and accuracy in his actions
Have good communication ability and team work spirit, have open mind and be creative and innovative.
Fluent in English is preferred
Years of experience required: 3+years
Education Level (Check the minimum level required): Bachelors Degree (4yr)
