Job Summary

Focus on commercials, technologies and quality related aspects, deliver a strong supply base that contributes to the business. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization, external stakeholders and suppliers from the early creation of category strategies to implementation.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers

2. Lead cross-functional team(s) in the identification of alternative product/suppliers, facilitates qualification trials, and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement

3. Source new vendors & periodically inspect/visit them

4. Perform Risk Mitigation and Contingency Planning

5. Conduct relevant spend and cost structure analysis as well as market research

6. Manage longer term strategic considerations and ensure KPI performance improvement

7. Conduct professional and effective RFQ rounds, analyze responses and drive the negotiation process

8. Perform Should-Cost Reviews to reduce total product costs without compromising scope or capabilities

9. Facilitate effective & efficient supplier qualification processes

10.Identify, develop and improve new product possibilities and solutions in cooperation with engineering and Product Management

11.Identify cost savings opportunities and manages cost reduction activities to achieve annual cost reduction goal

Qualification

1. Bachelor/Master degree in engineering

2. Solid negotiation skills and proven contracting skills

3. Skilled procurement person with 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing

4. Proven technical understanding from working in the field between engineering and Suppliers

5. Category Management experience in die casting, extrusion and plastic

6. Experience with Supplier Relationship Management, Should Cost principles, and Risk Mitigation

7. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

8. Good team player, initiative, responsible, excellent in coordinating issues with cross functions, high problem-solving capability
