Minimum Qualifications

? Bachelor degree or higher in electronic, microelectronics, electrical engineering, communication or related discipline.
? Minimum 2 years project management experience
? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
? The ability to clearly communicate and document findings
? Programming experience, preferably C, C++ and Perl tester language
? An understanding of MMC, SATA, USB or PCIE controller protocols and architectures - including datasheet specs, timings, etc.
? A basic background in NAND flash operation, including data sheet knowledge of specifications and timings, etc.
? Experience with NAND and/or Controller debug and testing
? Willingness to travel abroad for short periods


Preferred Skills

? Sound knowledge on semiconductor design and device physics, manufacture and verification of SOC or ASIC validation processes.
? Experience in using Automatic Test Equipment platforms (for example, Verigy/Agilent 93000, Credence, LTX, Teradyne), especially in high speed mixed-signal and RF applications.
? Coding proficiency in C, Java, with extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux development environment.
? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills:
o Experience in SATA/SAS/PCIe/eMMC/UFS protocols, NAND/NOR flash devices, ARM/AXI/AHB, encryption/decryption, memory controller, error management, and power management.
o Knowledge on firmware development
o Excellent English written, verbal and presentation skills.
? Be responsible for developing complete test solutions across the IC product lifecycle, for functional and parametric validation of device sensor performance.
? Collaborate with Design/Engineering teams on designing product specifications and implementing pre and post silicon validations.

Manager, Product Design Engineer:

As a Product Design Engineering Manager at WD, you will be leading a team that works closely with several cross functional teams related to ASIC and FW development, Memory Readiness, System Compatibility, Planning and Operational, Product Quality and Reliability, and Test Engineering to develop and debug test methodologies through all phases of product development and Manufacturing.

This position requires you to coordinate and manage introductions of new products, develop new and innovative test methodologies to test next generations of managed memory cards, as well as debug/FA on the failures during qualification, ongoing quality monitoring and during customer RMAs. You will primarily be involved with managed memory devices at a device and system level where you will be an expert in memory operations, controller behavior and card storage protocol. In order to meet product road map deliverables, your responsibilities will be to provide test solutions to manufacturing engineers, drive yield and TT cuts for company cost savings, and perform test support FA using various testers and test equipment, logic analyzers, oscilloscope and PC based testers and software. You will also be required to communicating technical product status to internal and cross functional team management. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining various technical documents to assist with supporting, training, and educating various groups within WD.

A PE Manager will need to maintain a comprehensive bug tracking system for controller and firmware related issues as well as a compilation of lessons learned and kitchen sink testing. Your duties will also include working with cross functional teams to coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
