Our client, an HK based PE Firm, now searching a finance controller based in shanghai
ESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Strategy and Management
-Develop and manage strong working relationships with management team, key stakeholders including key government departments including the taxation department
-Developing the annual and three year / five year financial budget in consultation with the management team
-Contribute as an integral team member to analyze the efficiency of capital investment and management and manage the financial risks
-Develop a disciplined and rigorous analytical process and platform with key metrics to assess all the activities relating to finance, accounting and investment and report on the risk and performance of the activities and offer optimal solutions to issues and problems
Financial, Accounting and Administration Execution
-Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, batch approvals, reconciliations, supplier accounting/settlements, sales/use tax reporting, collection of aged items and regulatory compliance
-Prepare, review and/or ensure completion of recurring activities including month-end/year-end closings, reconciliations, financial reporting, sales/use tax reporting, etc.
-Monitoring of the cash flow of our business, preparation of balance sheets, income statements and budgets, overseeing of accounting and auditing
-Develop and continuously study business data to assess the financial condition, examine information related to business operating expenses to be able to plan the budgets, examine and evaluate the system of reporting finances, the procedure in accounting and collecting, and investment plans and submit a written recommendation for amendments to operating systems, budgets, and procedures; study and categorize risks and investments to ascertain their potential effects on our business
-Training and supervising administrative and finance staff, supervising financial management of projects and accounts; supervising salaries, employee benefits, legal incidences and other issues about work relations; Supervise financial and administrative staff including accounts payable/accounts receivable clerk.
Investment and Due Diligence
-To develop financial models together with the Business Analyst that takes a disciplined and rigorous approach to assessing the potential and financial performance of each and every investment
-To take a disciplined approach to analyzing all relevant market data and all relevant financial data and input
-To be an integral team member to conduct due diligence to all our investment decisions including legal and financial diligence and coordinating the work any external consultants including legal lawyers that will be part of our due diligence team
-To ensure that we have a consistent, comprehensive and disciplined in our investment and due diligence process
Compliance & Management Reporting
-Perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting and reporting to ensure full compliance with all government regulatory compliance including financial and taxation departments. Ensure all documents, forms and paperwork are precisely recorded, filed and managed.
-Develop and maintain professional working relationships with appropriate government departments to ensure regulatory compliance laws are kept up to date and managed accordingly
--Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal management team and IT department to ensure that business activities data, relevant market information are channeled to the FAM on a regular and timely manner
-Implement and promote a strong financial control and reporting environment that continuously receives and prepares business activities data and information in preparation for Financial Management Reports that incorporates financial and non-financial information to enable the business to make effective commercial decisions
PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE & EXPERIENCE
-Minimum 10 years experience in Finance and Accounting role, preference for some experience in a start up environment
-Held Financial leadership roles in a major real estate, private equity, service industries or similar
-Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel and appropriate accounting software
-Extensive experience in hands on completion and analysis of financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements
-Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Chinese
-Excellent planning, analytical and modeling skills
-Excellent problem solving skills and robust decision making process
