Council Manager – Japan Team (Based in Shanghai)

Position Overview:

The Council Manager role is a management position which is responsible for entire Japan Council Management practice and management of Japan team at Shanghai. Council Manager will work closely with senior leaders from different practices in Asia and further develop Japan council network.

Position Description:

· Research Manager in our client-facing offices responsible for:

· Leading the Japan team in Shanghai, mainly responsible for driving the best result of team performance and meet demands of clients all over the world

· Cooperating with Tokyo Office on various business initiatives/practices to contribute meeting the revenue target

· Quickly identify and establish consulting relationships with professionals best suited to consult on our highest priority client inquiries through e-mail and telephone marketing

· Being a role model of Council network developing, growing the Japan Councils by recruiting key thought leaders with basic industry professional recruiting campaigns, leveraging lists, associations, referrals and other relationships

Potential Candidates Possess:

· Bachelor’s degree, or above

· At least three years managerial experience in multinational environment

· At least three years working experience in various industries (Preferably in Japan).

· Excellent communication skills over the telephone, e-mail, and in-person, in both English and Japanese.

· Abilities to identify best match/solution of requests/questions, to manage cold calls, and to handle increasing responsibility over time.

· Successful track record working in a team environment.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

· The highest integrity and professionalism
