Major Responsibility
Review and approve supplier qualification plans and results for new products or processes and significant process changes
Oversee AQL sampling for manufacturing lot acceptance at main contract manufacturing site
Perform statistical analysis of critical manufacturing test data to ensure supplier processes are in control
Collaborate with suppliers on the identification and implementation of cost reductions opportunities
Develop and prioritize auditing schedules to ensure manufacturing and quality standards are met
Completes on-site supplier audits and evaluates capabilities and quality systems
Develops and write reports, procedures, and qualification summaries.
Conduct and facilitate supplier qualification audits for new and existing suppliers
Develop detailed qualification plans timelines for new and existing suppliers
Develop new suppliers to ensure on-time, high-quality products and services
Aid in development of new business opportunities including evaluation of new suppliers, assessing capabilities, and completing quality assessments
Ensure any issues are addressed through the supplier corrective action process.
Education & Experience
BS degree in engineering discipline
4-8 years of supplier engineering experience
Required Skills & Competencies
Experience with data collection and data analysis software and techniques, including Excel, MiniTab, Pi, Access, etc.
Knowledge of fiber optic connectivity products and associated test procedures
Language skills: Fluent in both Mandarin and English
Desired Skills (including soft skill)
Performance Excellence Certified Green Belt highly desired.
Statistical Analysis
Quality Control certification.
Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
Ability to work in a cross functional team
Excellent decision making skills (based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment)
Proven ability to work under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
