Position Summary:
Explore strategic cost out opportunities under Masco 20-3-1 direction. Develop annual cost saving tactics, goals & plan. Develop methodologies and tools for effective cost structure management including cost model, cost analysis, supplier profitability analysis, pricing negotiations and mechanism. Lead & coordinate team effort to develop cost saving solutions. Manage special project in cost-out process & initiatives.
Education and Experience:
B.S. degree in business or engineering; Minimum 5 years experience in cost-out management or SCM.
Non-Negotiable Skills:
? Manufacturing cost knowledge, especially for process like zinc die casting, stamping, plastic injection.
? ERP experience.
? Strong data analytical and organizitional skills.
? Strong sense of urgency and accuracy towards the execution of the assigned project.
? Strong communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
? Proficient in Excel (use V-lookups, pivot tables, etc).
? Good command of oral and written English.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Conduct year-end cost analysis based on the forecast and cost factor trends. Identify potential cost impact and cost saving opportunities in the following year.
? Develop an annual cost saving goals and plans in January of the year with focus on synergy of Masco 20-3-1 strategy.
? Lead & coordinate cross-departmental efforts in Sourcing, Purchasing, Kaizen, Value Engineering & Packaging to develop a consolidated annual cost-out strategy.
? Lead & coordinate the tracking of the cost saving results on monthly basis. Develop & publish an annual cost saving reporting system by the year-end.
? Develop an effective mechanism for the Supplier Profitability Analysis when needed.
? Lead & execute the supplier finance assessment by end of 1st QTR each year together with cost accountant.
? Manage Supplier Pricing Agreement tracking sheet and coordinate the phase-end material cost analysis, supplier pricing analysis, negotiations and JDE update.
? Develop an effective, user-friendly and accurate cost model with financial analyst, PM, Buyer, Eng. and suppliers. Improve and keep track of the Cost Model accuracy on monthly basis.
? Develop standard methodology and tools on supplier price management, cost analysis, benchmarking data and negotiations.
? Support PM, PUR and other teams to develop cost saving solutions in specific business segment, global sourcing and cost competitiveness, RFQ analysis & negotiations.
? Handle routine PUR functions for assigned categories - supply planning, PO execution, supplier management.
