Risk

Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• Continuous review for appropriateness of framework to monitor regulatory compliance developments impacting on RRB in China.
• Assist in implementing as required market product suitability, sales and staff remuneration policies and systems that ensure that RRB’s exposure to regulatory compliance and reputational risks is managed, in a practical and effective manner, including efficient and reasonable deployment of resources and an understanding of the business operations and needs.
• Assist in implementing global standards and strategic policies which ensure RRB’s exposure to current risks and emerging arising risk is managed appropriately, in a commercially focused and practical manner
• Interaction with Regulators and industry bodies in China, on Regulatory Compliance matters relating to RRB.
• Ensure the appropriate timely and relevant risk information is provided to RRB management.
• To assist in implementing the aligning the RRB operating practices with changes in Global Regulatory Compliance Standards and local regulations.
• To assist in resolving any/all identified issues promptly, and escalate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns.
• To assist in maintaining and observing all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
• To assist in maintaining awareness of operational risk within assigned portfolio and minimizing the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

1 Compliance experience is preferred.
2 The jobholder assists business advisory tasks of dedicated business line and shall be familar with regulations and products/process on retail customers.
3 The jobholder should have experience and skills in dealing with various regulators and internal business functions in sensitive and important context.
4 High standard of spoken and written English, fluent in Mandarin.
