Banking (GB)

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

·Provide credit support to RM teams by producing credit applications in a timely manner;

·Manage and complete workload assigned by team leaders and RAU head based on business needs;

·Keep close contact with RM teams and join activities throughout the entire process leading to approval of credit applications, including client visits, information collection, facility structuring and justification, identifying key risks and proposing mitigating factors;

·Develop sound banking & industry knowledge and apply high standard credit principles to ensure credit applications are completed with sufficient KYC and robust risk analysis;

·Sufficiently assess borrowers' financial position, credit risks and financing structure, and check security arrangement and covenants compliance for all applications;

·Maintain Banking's regular credit review process to ensure no undue overdue of annual review;

·Be alert to market changes and developments, industry trends, economic situation as well as client's potential deterioration, and take precautions as necessary to safeguard the Bank from potential losses caused by deterioration of asset quality;

·Maintain and ensure due adherence to HSBC Internal Control Standards, including timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Ensure all credits are in full compliance with all Group policies as well as local regulations and requirements.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·Bachelor degree or above (recognized by the state);

·Minimum of 5 years of working experience in financial services or related industry. Experience in areas of risk, compliance or business support role will be an advantage;

·Solid analytical skills and problem-solving capability;

·Strong team player, ability to engage effectively with the wider Banking team;

·Mature and well presented with good interpersonal, communication and organization skills;

·Quick learner, self-motivated, independent and be able to meet pressure;

·Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin;

·Good command in MS Office (word, Excel, Power-point) application and other e-tools.

Successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required
